BEAUTIFUL !!! Jeremy's voice melts my heart !! His rendition of Santa Fe is breathtaking ! This guy is gonna be a HUGE Broadway Star and the fact that his is a triple threat AND amazingly gorgeous doesn't hurt !!!
God this album sounds spectacular! But did anyone else notice a loud squeak in "Santa Fe" (possibly clarinet) on the last chord before the button? How'd that get through?
I give a big applause to Mr. Menken and Mr. Feldman for their fabulous score. I hope they win the Tony. I got goosebumps during the Overture. God I hope this show tours.
I understand why the squeak at the end of Santa Fe is annoying. And, there are little annoying moments like that on various cast recordings I have heard and are bothered by.
But, at the same time, considering how cast recordings are made, I am more inclined to be forgiving to have issues like that there than I would be for any other kind of recording. Cast recordings are very expensive to make and unless your a show like Wicked, any producer is bound to loose money and not gain while making one. And, on top of all that, there is so much done in a freakishly short amount of time. In fact, I can't think of any other kind of music that goes into the studio to record a full album as fast a a cast album does. So, for all that, and considering that a lot of shows don't make one due to costs, I am rather happy to hear one mistakes on it or not.

Love it. My only complaint is that it's too short! 50 minutes? I know the CD version will have bonus tracks, but there's still a few more bits of music that they could have included.
I really like her voice. It's a weird combo of Lindsay Mendez's vibrato, Laura Bell Bundy's inflections, and Sarah Stiles' tone. I find it super interesting to listen to.
I love her. She's an amazing part of the show. Her voice sounds perfectly full and rounded in the theatre, even better than on the CD.
I think this score is really strong. The CD sounds great. There are some fantastic voices in the show. The score is one of the stronger parts of the shows. The audience goes crazy for the show all the way through and by the end of Act 2 seems to be able to forgive the lulls in the book in Act 1. It's certainly an audience pleaser.
I can not hear the squeak. I've listened like 20 times. I'm so disappointed.
It's weird that this is the second Disney show to have some weird thing happen near the end of one of the big songs ("Part of Your World" for the Little Mermaid (though I think it was the reprise version), and now "Santa Fe"). I know Disney records isn't releasing the CD, but really?
I know someone somewhere a while ago "fixed" the skip for "Part of Your World" (I have the track somewhere), but this "squeak" will be harder to get out.
