I'm fairly certain that it did not in spite of a multiyear run.
Hmmm....does this mean anything for Toxic Avenger? (Other than a change of leading man?)

Was this the same show that David Hasselhoff was in? I'm not sure if I didn't like him or the show in general. I only saw a video recording of it in a class once.

I'm very excited that Jekyll and Hyde is coming back. The concept album is still one of my all time favorites, so it's difficult not to compare the voices of the leading actors to that gem. When I think of Anthony Warlow, Maroulis does not come to mind. I really hope he works hard to do the role justice and isn't another Hasselhoff. I'd hate for that to happen again to such a great story and musical score.

Maroulis trained at one of the best musical theatre colleges in the country, started out in musical theatre long before American Idol, and has actually spent more of his career performing on stage than doing anything else. It surprises me when people act like he's another pop star off the street who does theatre between albums or TV gigs.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
can someone explain this guy's appeal? i saw him in RENT way before he did American Idol and thought he was the worst actor/singer i ever saw to play Roger! when I saw him on AI he came across even more annoying... I just don't get why people like this guy...
Honorable mention to the 56 reprises of Facade (I could've sworn they wanted us to sing along!), the endless ballads with the characters letting us know how they felt or what they were about to do, and my personal favorite - the slitting of the throats, with the character dying before Hyde even approaches them (must have been a really sharp blade!)
Listen, I don't take my clothes off for anyone, even if it is "artistic". - JANICE
The only Wildhorn show I've ever seen. I wanted to force hot forks into my eyes.

What really bothers me, not the show, I am sure it is going to be interesting, but a new show on Broadway announced on a SUNDAY? Wow never known that before!
"I assume that it's going to the hard rock orchestrations and arrangements that were used on the Rob Evans and Kate Shindle album."
From below interview:
PC: Wouldn’t it be great if they used musical elements from the JEKYLL & HYDE: RESURRECTION?
CM: You know what’s funny? I think there will be elements of rock like that in it, but I think that the RESURRECTION is a little too much at times, myself.
PC: Too over-the-top?
CM: Yeah, a little over-the-top. I am actually planning on doing it more legit - pop, but a bit more of my legit voice in it that people might not have heard.
