I loathe the direction Josh Dallas is getting for Charming; is he suppose to be such a prick?

That said, I LOVED the episode. I'm curious if we'll get a Bride of Frankenstein, too.

If so, we'd better get ALL the classic Universal monsters.

interesting... so the initial curse that brought everyone to Storybrooke... so Regina chose who she wanted, correct? so Dr. Frankenstein was basically plucked from his world... he didn't need to be in Fairytale Land or whatever Kingdom it's called?? i guess this will be explained how some parts of the land were affected and some not...

oh and i thought the episode was fantastic... so we finally get to see Emma use that "i can sense liars" thing that she only used in the pilot...

I wouldn't consider Mulan, Lancelot, Pinocchio, Peter Pan/Hook or the Mad Hatter as what I generally consider to be fairy tale characters either. Though some of these would fall into the category of modern literary fairy tales. You could stretch that definition to encompass things like Frankenstein, the Oz series, James & the Giant Peach, etc.

Now that Disney owns 'Star Wars', Entertainment Weekly asks which character should visit the show.

Another interesting episode that had a great background story about Emma. I also found it fascinating that Aurora and Henry had the same nightmare. It must be because they were both affected by the sleeping curse.

Definitely wondering what the deal with that nightmare was. It was very specific, and it definitely seems that Aurora and Henry were looking at each other. It's clearly laying a foundation for something coming later - but what I have no idea.

I missed Regina and Mr. Gold again this week. I'm not a fan of them spreading out characters and not showing us certain people each week.

The nightmare is straight from Jane Eyre.

Am I the only person thinking Neil is Baelfire?

It would explain that little extra magic about Henry.

In the first episode of season two, reviewers said that the show spoofed 'Harry Potter' with a dementor like creature and then after tonight the spoofed 'Twilight' with the yellow eyes and the wolves.

I'm starting to think that the friendship between Red and Snow is a reference to the fairytale, 'Snow White & Rose Red'.

This season is boring the crap out of me. I've gone from sitting an inch away from my tv during it with my eyes glued on the screen, to washing the dishes and just listening to what's going on. They need to do something FAST because they're losing me.

But what about Captain Eye Candy?

In some parts of the episode things started to really get interesting. Spoilers below:

Now David/Charming is under a sleeping curse and will never awaken unless Snow White gets back home and kisses him. Also, Hook stole Aurora's heart and now Cora has control over it. Next week they use it to get the compass. I have a feeling Mulan will give it to them because she would never let Aurora die.

That was a great winter finale. I really enjoyed it. Spoilers:

I really am glad to see Regina change but it looks like it won't last long when the show returns in January. Also, things will be very interesting now that Cora and Hook are in Storybrooke. I'm also glad that Aurora didn't die.

Very well done episode. The past two have been extremely entertaining unlike most of the second season so far.

How rude to waltz off to the diner and leave poorv Regina standing there by herself! I actually felt badly for her.

Yeah lol. I actually think they deserve whatever they have coming to them after doing that.

I also have a feeling that by absorbing all the energy from the portal something might have happened to her. Also Barbara Hershey, that is all.

Great mid season end.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Entertainment Weekly listed the Season 1 finale, 'A Land Without Magic' as the 2nd best cliffhanger of 2012.
