Has anyone tried the Anything Goes rush lately? Has it gotten any easier? I'm thinking of going on Saturday or Sunday - if anyone has any idea which day would be better and when it would be safe to get there, please let me know.
Sutton is out this week, so rush will likely be easier than usual.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
I went Wednesday morning for the matinee performance and was there at 9 O'clock. There was about 15 people in front of me and I got Orchestra F106 at 50% off. Don't know if I was lucky or it's pretty standard since it was my first time rushing, but the theater was almost full.
I rushed this Tuesday before last and it was suprisinly empty! Got there at 9AM and was about 3rd in line...a huge contrast from May when I tried then at 9AM and had to give up since the line was going to 6th Ave.
Seems its improved a bit...however dont know if the fact I rushed for a Tuesday made a difference.
just an update I tried and failed miserably to rush it on Sunday (got there a little bit before 9:30 and was 16 or 17 in line)but I went today because I'm dying to see Tari again and got there embarrassingly early. The next person didn't show up until 8 and by the time the box office opened there were maybe 7 or 8 people in line.
I rushed the show two Sundays ago. I got there at 9:30 and got the second-to-last pair of rush tickets. But I agree with AC126748 - with Sutton out, rush will probably be easier.
I want to rush this show again this Friday. I was just wondering if I should get in line at 8 or 9:30? Would 9:30 be too late? I'm hoping since it's a Friday and most schools are back in, it won't be too crazy. Thanks for any help!
When I tried to get HipTix for ANYTHING GOES in June they told me I had to book them months in advance.

Yeah I called about Hiptix for Anything Goes just asking about availability and they basically laughed at me. I was like "ok geez I get it" hahaha... And Sutton is back in now (according to the twitterverse) so expect the line for rush to start early.
Did the rush tuesday morning - got there at 9:20 and was fifth in line. Got tickets in the back row of the mezzanine which were actually great seats for the price! saw everything clearly. Sutton was on and was absolutely incredible! As was the whole production.
If you want to be safe I would say 8am... Cause Sutton is leaving on the 11th and I'm sure people who haven't gotten around to seeing her will make it a priority..
Went to the B.O. today at 11am and got a standing room ticket. They had them for the evening and the matinee. Apparently there's a strong chance that standing room will be available for all the performances until Foster leaves.
hey, so i've got 1 shot at trying to get rush tickets for Thursday as I'm in NYC for a limited time. Just wondering if anyone knows how many rush tickets are usually on sale? thnx in advance for any help.
