I already have my B.A. in Theatre and I have been out of school for about 4 years now, but I am considering looking for a 1-2 year acting and musical theatre program. I don't really want to go back to a university setting.

Some schools I'm intrigued by:
Circle in the Square (very much so)
Neighborhood Playhouse
Atlantic Theatre Company
New York Film Academy

If anyone has any advice or opinions to offer, please let me know. Thanks :)

I am a graduate of the circle in the square summer program and highly recommend it. The cool thing about it, is that you do not study just one acting technique, but many through different teachers. Uta Hagen, Stanislavski, and Boleslavsky are the main ones though. If you are straight acting you will regardless get 3 hours of dance a week, MT you get that plus an hour of tap too. It is a lot of work but you learn so much from these teachers. I have so much more to say, so if you have any questions, feel free to message me.

Does CITS offer any film acting classes? Theatre and musical theatre are my main focus but it would be nice to find a program that offers a little film training.

I am pretty sure they do not, but a lot of the teachers have their own classes outside of CITS and I am pretty sure one of them teaches a film acting class.
