does anyone know if the american idiot rights are going to be released to high schools? im a rising senior and doing this show would make my senior year end with a bang.

I strongly doubt that they "probably will not" release the rights at all. It's pretty rare these days for a notable show to decide NOT to license itself after the tours are over, and "American Idiot" would probably do well in regionals, colleges and communities.

And not all shows are available to high schools for productions. Les Miz (for example) couldn't be done BY high schools until the HS Version was released.

Additonally, I don't know too many HS that would choose it because of its lack of substantial female parts.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
