Very small rooms, a little run down but clean and serviceable. One tiny elevator.

very tiny and worn at the heels - but I love it. It's my favorite place to stay if I can get a reasonable (read: cheap) room there!

I recently used quikbook.com for my trip in July. I picked the secret sale for a Times Square deluxe hotel. $149 per night was the rate for five nights. The hotel turned out to be the Distrikt Hotel (openend last year) on W 40th between 8th and 9th. I am thrilled with getting such a nice hotel with a great location for this price. Just wanted you to know you may have some other cheap options at a nicer hotel.

I stayed there when I was in town on Easter weekend, so I didn't get much of a price break, although $250 per night was still better than most in that range. My room was teeny weeny, even though I got a double instead of a single. But it was very clean and quiet. And you can't beat the location. Staff seemed very nice and friendly. The common areas are tired, but there's a quaint charm to it.

Had all the amenities - nice TV, closet, iron, hair dryer, toiletries, and really nice linens. The bed was very comfy, too.

Shower worked fine. Plenty of hot water and pressure.

I'd stay there again.

But did I mention the room was teeny weeny? LOL

I'm convinced they have the smallest rooms in all Manhattan, but they are also the quietest rooms. I stay there a lot, and like Mamie, I find it worn but charming.
