The Book of Mormon CD Signing Set for TOMORROW |
I hope SHKBOOM starts shipping tomorrow. That's pretty crappy to sell them before they are released at a huge mark up, forcing hard core fans and theatre lovers to buy two.
Also, they are selling the CD for 25 on the BOM site and for 14.99 with free shipping on SHKBOOM. Just nuts.

I feel the same way, Bettyboy. I believe the order confirmation notice said they would be shipping no sooner than tomorrow. Hopefully that'll come to pass- since they obviously will have them in stock.
I'm not one to lay out money twice for cast recordings just to have a signed copy- particularly when the signed copy will be ten dollars more.

No one is forcing you. You are given the opportunity to purchase the CD so it can be autographed. It's totally up to you whether you chose to do it or not.

Shut up Patti LuPone!

Right on Cue, my CD shipped from Shkboom. I am perfectly fine staying dry. I will happily stage door another time to get this signed.
I gave it to your nurse to give back to you. She started mumbling something in her Jamaican accent about "dat damn ol' fool an' i shoulda rolled 'im off da side of a cliff" or something like that.

I stopped by the O'Neil earlier, too, and was surprised at how few people were in line. Maybe the rain has put a damper on things, and everything will rush to get in line around 1:30. Also, people have until 3:30. ... Too bad Trey Parker and Matt Stone won't be there, but Bobby Lopez is scheduled to come.
I see Valisia Lekae was there. She was added recently as a swing, but is she also on cast recording?? Was there other new swing, Douglas Lyons, also there??

The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Yeah I figured hardly anyone would go to this. It had to be te most poorly planned CD signing, maybe ever.
2 to 3:30pm on a weekday afternoon sure is an odd time to have a signing, though. Surprised they didn't do it on a weekend, when people don't have to be at work.

Jordan, Jordan, Jordan: That wasn't my nurse, she was my housekeeper. That wasn't a Jamaican accent, it was West African. As the poor lady also works at the Sofitel, she's been very distressed lately and extremely unreliable. I understand what she's going through, so I'm being very supportive. I just try hard not to speak French when she's in earshot.

It's not unusual to have a CD signing on a weekday, but I have to agree with Jordan about how 'poorly planned' it seemed. As far as I could tell, it was only abruptly announced yesterday. I got an E-flyer, and the first mention I saw of it was from Playbill.com yesterday. Was this thrown together at the last minute? Or why the urgency? Why not hold it later this week, or next week, so people had more time to figure out how to get the day off and get to the signing? Or why not hold the signing a little closer to the time of a 'BOM' lottery?
