OK, so on Facebook, there's a thing called the 30 Day Musical Theatre Song Challenge where every day you pick one song from musical theatre under a specific title...I was thinking I'd ask you guys every day to name one song each for every title for a bit of fun :)

So, day one is...

A song from your first musical.

Okay, don't through any books at me, but

Memory "Cats" *winces*

After the long phase of watching dancing cats I learned to appreciate a good score, which is something this one ain't!

Well, it'll have to be 'One More Angel in Heaven' from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It's the first musical I remember knowing and that's still my favourite song from it. XD

I did kind of mean Broadway. Or West End, for us Englishmen (and women).

My first West End show was Chitty, so... :)

My first musical was the tour of Bye Bye Birdie w/ Tommy Tune. But if you're not counting that it would be Miss Saigon.

Mine was a high school version of Godspell.

If I didn't believe in you We'd never have gotten this far If I didn't believe in you And all of the ten thousand women you are If I didn't think you could do Anything you ever wanted to If I wasn't certain that you'd come through somehow THe fact of the matter is, Cathy I wouldn't be standing here now -The Last Five Years

First Show EVER saw "Day by Day" - Godspell
First Broadway Show "What I Did For Love" - A Chorus Line (Original Broadway Version)
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

"Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" - OKLAHOMA

My first musical was the national tour of OKLAHOMA with Christine Andreas, Laurence Guittard, and Christine Ebersole. Around 1980, I think.
