Patti you changed your post but you've been very snide to me in the past. I was wrong. I wasn't paying attention after Toyoko. It's been a 4 show weekend my mind is blah.
Having spent my teen years living in Korea...even w the north it's one of the safest places.

One of the things I have noticed about the international tour of Chicago is the amazing reception they've been getting in Seoul and Tokyo. Via social media, I've seen the extent of their appreciation of the show and of individual cast members. They're literally showered with gifts and tokens of esteem at the stage door. From what I've seen, international fans of the show take their fandom to the next level. I'm in awe of them.

I care. There are others "out there....in the dark" who care as well. "Don't rain on my parade". Unless you work for the accounting firm of Price and Waterhouse, your "no one cares" doesn't have a lot of substance. 1.6 million views is nothing to sneeze at. It's a little achievement, nothing more....nothing less. I've mentioned on occasion that I'm a Johnny-come-lately with regards to appreciating the show and the people in it. I'm a little confused about "being mean." At this point, the "honor" is all yours. Please stop making drama out of thin air. There are plenty of people...here and actual cast members who do appreciate my modest efforts in promoting Chicago.

Ive been part of the show since the Richard Rodgers.

I don't remember the first part, but I do recall the second part. I think this was in a private message. I I may have been a bit too excited knowing that someone involved with the show participated in this forum. Ultimately, I didn't press it further, realizing that you wanted your privacy. Very few in this board ever post their real picture, so I understood. Now, if I would say to you "no one cares" about something YOU like doing...something that gives you a little bit of joy and happiness....I could be accused of being mean. Sound familiar? I could go on and on. But I will say that this doesn't sound like you, reacting as you have all of a sudden. Life is too short. P.S. That is absolutely awesome that you have been with the show since the Richard Rogers Theatre. I always say that Chicago is like the Energizer Bunny....it keeps on going and going.....Congrats!

JB.... this was some years ago. I don't remember exactly what I said some years ago. If I had been as you said, it would have been best to have brought it up then. Now, it doesn't seem to make sense. We had been conversing fairly normally since then. Pics are not necessary now. I think you're confused about who I was "against". For some years, I was perplexed by AFW, because she seemed to be on as Velma for long periods of time. I never had anything against her personally. I just thought that the show would be served well with a variety of Velmas, rather than just one. I even had a chance to meet her in December. I don't feel about her the same way I did for some years. I figured..it is what it is. With regards to Miss Donna Marie Asbury, I happen to like her very much. So much so that I bought a window card of her as Evita Peron during a 1998 tour stop in Boston. It's awesome. I haven't figured out how to have her sign it. I might take it with me to NYC, if I get a chance to visit this coming December. That's a big IF. I follow her on Facebook. She's aware of my interest in Chicago. You seem to concentrate on the meanness...about something that allegedly happened a few years ago. When someone (I used to admire) tells me "no one cares" about something I post, to me, that qualifies as being mean. If you're going to allege that I was mean (tho I honestly don't remember), then you have to look at yourself as well. We can go on and on. I am just going to move on. I've said plenty. That's enough for me.

I hadn't seen this since I saw it on that place some time ago. One of the first things I noticed was no Leigh Zimmerman (Go To Hell Kitty). I guess she began with the show on Broadway. Joel Grey was born to play the role of Amos. He was fantastic.

A few were different than broadway.
One in the ensemble went on to play Liz on Broadway and Velma (wearing long sleeves and pants) and is now Wickeds assistant director.

Seeing those clips from Encores is a joy and bringing back lots of memories. Marcia got laughs that no other Mama did. Every gesture Bebe made served a purpose. Bruce Anthony Davis dancing with all that energy. Caitlin Carter's grace. And a special mention for Mamie's Velma backbend at the end of act one. Has any other Velma ever done that?
