I don't know much about this musical. I know the two female leads are Laurey and Ado Annie. I can sing soprano, mezzo and alto. I don't know what to audition for. I don't know what would be better for me and which song would be better to sing for which part? I'll audition for both parts if I have to :) Any suggestions would be great. Thanks everyone!

If YOU don't know what part you are better suited for -- how the heck could WE know. We don't know what you sing like, what you look like, how you act, your type -- anything.

Laurie is typical leading lady/ingenue, Ado Annie is comedic.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Rent the movie with Shirley Jones or the DVD with Hugh Jackman and learn about the characters, yourself.
