He reminded me af Adam Lambert, too. I wish they would stop with the sob stories. It makes me cringe. My favorite part of the whole episode was that awesome transformer costume that guy made!
Any one besides me that LOOOVED the (next to the last) girl with the guitar and super unique, fabulous 30s type voice?? I think she sang "you're getting to be a habit with me"?
tiny- I looooved her too!- especially when she sang while plying her guitar! The last guy had a great voice but I'm with everyone else. Please stop with the sob stories. My daughter likes to play a game and tries to guess what the sob part is before they tell it. That makes her so happy!
Ugh...that girl made me queasy! LOL She reminded me of Brooke White who I wanted to smack by the end of last season. A little of that goes a very long way for me. JMHO, tho.

OK, so everyone has referred to her as 'that girl' enough that I am referring to her as Marlo Thomas. Anyway, the closest recent pop singer she reminded me of was Corrine Bailey Rae.

Yeah, James is really good (though I have a hard time believing he's my age). Of course, I'll still be rooting for my friend Karen and fraquaintance Pia (who I hope we'll "meet" today).
Edit: Didn't even see either of them tonight

Wow, that episode of Idol was tough to watch. Seemed almost like a repeat, because all they did was give EVEN MORE facetime to those they had already featured. They even had the gall to refer to some as 'early favorites'.

There were quite a few choices the judges made that I did not agree with. Group rounds are the pits - too stressful, too weird having to sing songs that really aren't your thing. What the heck was with that rule of having to have some members from day 1 and some day 2 - that was a load of crap.
Well, that was an awful episode. A two-hour episode, and I doubt there was 15 minutes of actual singing. Many of the judges' decisions were head-scratchers, but there was barely enough given to us to form our own opinion.
