This sucks. I was really hoping i'd be able to see the final performance, but I don't think I'll be able to make it. At least I got to see it 6 times. Updated On: 12/28/10 at 06:44 PM
Makes total sense. The show was a mess and selling poorly. If this show hadn't been done by a non-profit, it would have been a bigger financial bloodbath.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!NOOOOOOOOOOO! this makes me sad.i wish this musical had a chance.can they revive it with a better book, score and a little casting change in the future?i guess this means no cast album.
The show really was a prime example of a waste of talent. The cast did what they could, if not adding MORE to what was vacant in the script.
I saw it just less than two weeks ago, and it was a sad sight. A few dozen left at intermission.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

The first half of this season has been such a disappointment. Women On the Verge is closing early, Spiderman is a disaster, Scottsboro Boys closed, and Love Never Dies did not transfer. At least we have Catch Me If You Can, Priscilla, Sister Act, and Anything Goes coming up.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
According to this blog post on LCT's website (http://www.lct.org/showBlog.htm?id=197&blogEntryId=250), Samantha Shaefer was on for Pepa this Sunday at Women on the Verge. Anyone catch her? Updated On: 1/9/11 at 07:50 PM
I may have been one of the only people who enjoyed this show. It wasn't brilliant by any means but I loved watching all the talent onstage, even if their material was so-so
I thought the show was fun. It was nothing life altering, but it wasn't trying to be. I had a good time at it and liked it more than I thought it would. Man, January-February will be a dry spell until things start to open up.
