Spiderman Rush |
8:30 isn't bad - only an hour and a half wait, right? are you sure that's early enough? is it only what's available - i.e. if it's sold out there are no tix?
I thought the B.O. opened at Noon? I have heard that people who get in the Rush line at 9am are too late.
Might be different tomorrow, though, since the snow decided to dump on us...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

oh I wasn't sure. Most boxes open at 10am for weekday shows but noon on weekends I think...but yes, not fully sure. Can anyone please confirm?
Is there guaranteed rush at every performance, or is it only when they have seats left over?
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

I asked the box office the same question and was told they can't guarantee there will be rush for every performance.

Has anyone gone recently? I think I am going to try to catch the evening show on Saturday, just wanna see if I have a shot of getting a ticket around 10:30
there was a fairly decent sized line by 8:30 last saturday so I don't think you'd get a ticket at 10:30

I don't know, I showed up on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend at 11:00 AM and got two great seats for the matinee. I think it's a crapshoot.

I went about 3 Sundays ago, got there at 11:20, and got a ticket.
I can't find the exact thread, but I read once on this board that the front row is up for rush too. Is this true?

When I rushed, my seat was in the second to last row on far side. Everyone that I recognized as being in the line with me earlier were in the far seats in rows moving toward the stage (the four edge seats in all the back rows).
Were these seats still good, even though they were so far back (good view, able to see flying, etc.)

They were fine. You can see the lower bits of flying, but not when he lands in the balcony or goes higher up. We probably missed a grand total of 45 sec of flying bits put together. You do miss a few video screens on the stage (due to angle), but the ones on the other side are pretty much showing the same thing, so you get the idea. Personally, I did not mind missing a bit of flying and a couple screens, because I was able to be in the theatre and see the show for only $30!
