In the original cast recording, "Not a Day Goes By" is sung by a male. In this original version of the show was it sung by Frank instead of Beth? I can only find a synopsis of the current revised version, and can't find any context of a male singing it. Can anyone fill me in on the synopsis that includes a man singing it instead of Beth?

Thanks for any help!

Frank writes it for his wedding; He sings it to Beth and Mary echoes it. Later (or rather, earlier) Beth sings it at their divorce hearing.
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

I don't have my recording with me, but from what I can hear on iTunes, it sounds like they sing the happier version together (at the wedding?), and then he sings the angry version by himself earlier in the show (later in the plot).

They only gave it to Frank in the original was because the Beth was having vocal issues, I believe. In the licensed version of the show, it is Beth's solo.
