Legally Blonde, The Color Purple, 9 to 5 and Hairspray are just a few that got the Broadway treatment, and Spiderman and Women on the Verge are just around the corner. Not a big fan of the trend but when done right, it could be great. Here's my random list for starters. Any other ideas?

If you love something but can't explain why, that's enough.”
Honestly don't think this could really work, but I would LOVE to see "Drop Dead Gorgeous" successfully adapted for the stage.

A Bond Musical- for the sheer fact that someday a diva must sing Nobody Does it Better on broadway.
Any Hitchcock Film made into a straight play. Esp. Rear Window.
But number 1 for me is the supremely underrated Bette Midler movie For the Boys. I admit the screenplay had it's faults but it has the potential to be a really, really great backstage musical that spans numerous musical genres and time periods.
