Is there a way to get back to the old one? I've been putting up with it for a week or two but it's just annoying.
On the old search engine, you could quickly navigate to the last page of results and go page by page forward. And there were often more than one page of results (I often search with the new search engine and when I click next page it says there is no results or something - can't remember exactly).
You could also gauge the popularity of something by the number of pages of results, but here you have no idea how many 'results' there are.
ANd how ever will I be able to find ill-informed comments by members that in hindsight look ridiculous!??!
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
That's been happening to me, too, where it only shows one page. When you click to the next one, it says there are no more, even in cases where I know there are. I was hoping it was just a glitch.
This reminds me that I've also been meaning to ask Rob/Craig what ever became of the bookmark feature, and if there's any way to access those from our accounts? I had a lot of stuff bookmarked that I'd like to somehow retrieve, and then I can bookmark them in my browser.
Which search engine are you having a problem with? The main one or the message board one? Just tested both and they seem to work here, but happy to send our techs onto it if there's a problem I'm not aware of....
Oh I see the main search at the top right is still the old-style search (it disappeared from the left sidebar IIRC, so I only found the 'search' button at the top of the forum page - I guess maybe it's always been there?)
So I'll just go back to using the main one. Thanks for the heads up :).

It is a bit of a pain, but if you want to see older search results, just have a look at when the oldest result showing is from (i.e. the one at the bottom of the page), and re-do the search with that as the "Optional End Date".
Is there a way to have the results shown by thread and not by individual posts? It's so stupid to only show posts and not threads. Then you get stuck with having to wade through many (hundreds if it was a long thread) of results unrelated to what you may actually be looking for.
The old Search feature used to have an option you could click on that said "Show results by thread."
