I've been trying to get in to see it for a while, and between seeing what the rest of the group wanted and time, no luck. Goes anyone want to hazzard a guess?
I've heard that the show is scheduled to close in January, despite whether or not sales are bad. Priscilla is scheduled there I believe starting in February?

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...
"Every day has the potential to be the greatest day of your life." - Lin-Manuel Miranda
"And when Idina Menzel is singing, I'm always slightly worried that her teeth are going to jump out of her mouth and chase me." - Schmerg_the_Impaler
Priscilla is having a hard enough time fitting at The Palace in London, one of Londons biggest stages... so I don't think The Richard Rodgers could stage this!
I don't think he could stage it either, but mostly of account of him being dead and all.
Okay even though I don't agree with anything else you've posted in here that made me chuckle. A+.

man... it took me a while to realize you were talking about the musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert... i thought you all were referencing Priscilla Lopez from the show!
Doesn't this have the same producers as Rent? They are either going to pull a Rent and stay open for a long time by struggling with stunt casting or close soon.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.
"Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."
The tour has been doing poorly. Not only in sales.. but the reviews in most places have been pretty dismal. Lin Manuel is joining the cast here in LA. But no one here knows who he is or cares.
Yesterday seemed to be school trip day, and I swear at leats 70% of the seats were filled by 16 year olds. Interesting. Every time there was a kiss or something remotely romantic, all the kids did a collective "ooohhhhh." Having listened to the cast recording for so long I knew the storyline and such, but was usnure how certain things were done. When the show got close to the end of the blackout and I knew what was coming next, I got out the tissues, but the reactions of everyone at that point is why live theater is so wonderful. And the "kids" in this show had such incredible voices! I am a happy camper.
"It would be terrible for Heights to close that early. It's a great, enjoyable show."
That early? In the Heights has been running more than 2 years, not including its off-Broadway run. Not to mention, the show recouped its entire investment.
I wouldn't exactly call that "early."
"We like to snark around here. Sometimes we actually talk about theater...but we try not to let that get in our way." - dramamama611
