Wow- this looks like a Reefer Madness cast and creative team reunion! I'm pumped for that...

If you ask me, Reefer Madness is one of the best cult musicals of the past fifteen years. Its gestation period has taken FOREVER, but they've finally "frozen" the show in its current stage form.

Interested in this, although I think Kristen Bell would be better suited as Heather 1. Christian Campbell and JD? He's a little too nice for that character. Jenna Leigh Green, I assume is the Shannon Dohorty Heather..?

I thought the same thing, goober, especially since there is more than a passing resemblance between Kristen Bell and Kim Walker, who, if I remember correctly, did end up dying of a brain tumor, R.I.P.

I'm so excited because I love Heathers, and was all giddy when I heard about this; yet mad at the same time, because I already started working on a Heathers-esque musical myself. :c

It would be great if they restored the original ending: JD succeeds in blowing up the school and himself. Veronica then straps dynamite to her body and blows herself up. The last scene is of her being reunited with JD in a heavenly prom where everyone gets along and dances to Big Fun's "Teenage Suicide--Don't Do It".

I would be happy with either ending. A big flashy everyone gets along production number would work, but I would also enjoy a simple new beginnings to end the show duet with Veronica and Martha Dunstock.

I actually don't like "Heathers" all that much but think it's a great idea for O'Keefe to musicalize. He's got a lot more edge to him that "Blonde" was able to show.
