At Music Hall, there are displays of props from past and what are advertised as future shows. Two I noticed that interested me were Bonnie and Clyde and Mame. I know B&C didn't get great reviews at La Jolla but I'm looking forward to it and I have always loved Mame.

It doesn't indicated when we would see Bonnie and Clyde but it's advertising Mame for 2012.

I'm actually really happy to hear those shows could be coming! If we could get Next to Normal in the Majestic and HAIR in either theatre I would be EXTREMELY pleased with this season!

Well, last year DSM announced that 2012 would include Memphis (announced for May), Million Dollar Quarter, La Cage Aux Folles, and The Addams Family.

I just noticed on their website that they're including another return engagement of Rain.

I still haven't heard anything more about Mame.

It's an improvement over the 2011 season. I know many people are tired of Mamma Mia but I never get tired of it.

I'm not really all that excited about seeing Peter Pan again and I'm definitely not interested in Million Dollar Quartet based on the promo performances I've seen from it on TV.

Bring It On may turn on to be cute.

The new season is now listed at www.dallassummermusicals.org. Overall, not too bad of a season.

In the mailed brochure they also list as coming in 2013:

The Lion King
Catch Me If You Can
Mary Poppins
Wicked

"I'm not really all that excited about seeing Peter Pan again"

I'm thrilled that Cathy Rigby's version of "Peter Pan" is coming back here. I was so sad that I missed it when it came here during her farewell tour. But now I can see her live for the first time and my best friend has never seen the show. I can't wait! Plus a new generation of kids will able to see her and the show.

Cathy Rigby in Peter Pan was the very first stage musical I ever saw, at age 5. My son will be almost 4 when it comes through next summer, and I'm thrilled that his first show will be the same as mine. Also, I'm excited about The Lion King coming through in 2013. He'll love that too. DSM 2012?
