I'm still pulling for Ragtime to get a Tony nom...I enjoyed Promises, Promises but Ragtime was a far better production.

No director nom for Michael Mayer. Surprising, no? I expected he'd get in over Ashley for sure!

Enron not getting Best Play? Really?

Shame that Alexander Hanson got snubbed...he's fantastic in Night Music. So pleased for Finian's Rainbow though, and I love that Kate Baldwin and Terri White got nominated.

are the Outer Critics producing Memphis or something? Such a strange list of nominees, especially with the reviews that Promises, Promises is getting.

I'm shocked that Tony Vincent did not get a nomination for his work in American Idiot. I thought his performance was completely brilliant.

Never forget that the "Outer Space" Critics chose Victor/Victoria over Rent for Best Musical. I think last year they gave the most nominations to Young Frankenstein, which did not get a Tony Nomination.

Memphis has competition from The Scottsboro Boys and Bloody Bloody. It also benefits from being, you know, the only original musical of the year that didn't receive (much) critical bile.

The Tonys will be a different ballgame, since the strong elements of this season's off-Broadway musicals aren't in play.

No Enron or Norbert noms? Okay.

Too bad about Ragtime but congrats to Bobby Steggert!

I don't think Enron was eligible for this season's awards.

I mean, I thought the nominations were kind of a joke last year too.

And yeah, where IS Molina?! What the.
