Prospect presents a one-night-only concert of their hit musical, HONOR, at Baruch Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 25 at 6pm. There will be a pre-show reception in the lobby for Benefactor and Patron Level Ticket holders which begins at 4:30pm, as well as a post-show reception with the cast. HONOR is created by Prospect founders Peter Mills and Cara Reichel, and transplants Shakespeare’s As You Like It to a setting in feudal Japan. Broadway’s Jose Llana stars with Diane Phelan, from Prospect’s 2008 critically-acclaimed production, in this passionate tale of romance and the redemption of family honor.

“As You Like It, set it in feudal Japan, with samurai in place of French royalty… If a crowd-pleaser like this can’t get a commercial transfer, it will be a real dishonor.” – Time Out New York

“Mills’ gift for infectious melodies and his singular brand of super-smart word play make him a realistic successor to the mantle of Stephen Sondheim.” — Theatermania

“The work’s musical high points—big, sweepingly lovely ensemble numbers—catch this [Japanese] shared spiritual element perfectly, while others snag Shakespeare’s low-comedy sense in a way that’s pure kyogen.” —The Village Voice

“Lovely and literate… Peter Mills and Cara Reichel are among our most talented new theater artists.” — Peter Filichia’s Diary
