I'm 5'10 and haven't had problems with center orchestra.
Kind of random, but do you two hear moans from the people behind you? At 5'10, I'm anxious when getting to my seat about the people behind me. I probably should just get over it. I've had plenty of tall people in front of me. 1st world problems :)

Thanks for the help all! I bought the 2nd row center seat and even if the room isn't great, the view will more than make up for it. The last time I remember being in center orchestra and not on the aisle was for DEH at Music Box. Obviously wasn't spacious, but I recall it being fine. Someone sent me a message asking for the code and thought I'd leave it here in case anyone needed it. It's from TheatreMania and is HCTMC1108. Great discount and it's valid for all dates I believe!

I'm 6'3 and I say let them moan. I can't do anything about my height. It's not the same as texting during a show, crinkling your candy wrapper for hours and talking. I sat on a booster seat in the front row of Pretty Woman and didn't think once about who was behind me. The same people doing the above behavior don't care how their actions are affecting me and my enjoyment of the performance, so why should I worry about being tall and affecting theirs.
I was about to say that I have no problem whatsoever with tall people sitting in front of me who are otherwise polite theatergoers... obviously no one can help that they're tall! And 100% of the time I'd much rather be behind a quiet tall person than someone eating/crinkling or talking or texting.
But if you're 6'3", why on earth are you using a booster seat in the front row? That, to me, is very inconsiderate. "Why should you care" about the people around you? Because that's what decent humans do. Basic courtesy.
And @LesWIckedly, I got that $99 second row center for Hillary & Clinton too. Still don't know why that one seat was available at a discount for random performances, but I'm happy it was!

Judy, Get your facts straight before you call out anyone. At this theater, the stage is so high that regardless of how tall you are the performers are cut off at the ankle. EVERYONE in the front row, most shorter than me, some as tall as me, one taller, used the booster seat to bring their eye level even to the stage. If you are suggesting I should ruin my enjoyment of the show, to better the people behind me, then <<edited by BWW staff>>. You may want to do that, but obviously the 30 or so patrons that sat in the front row during that performance, did not feel the say way as you. I guess all thirty of us are rude and inconsiderate. In reality, you would have done the same thing. Now!
I was 100% calling you out for your tone. If you had politely explained the stage height in your original post, my reaction would've been very different. But saying "let them moan," "why should I care," "didn't think once"... and then following it up with what must've been profanity directed at me that was edited by the mods... I mean, you don't exactly come across as a considerate person. I hope you enjoyed Pretty Woman.
No, I don't use profanity on a lady I don't know and for something as trivial as this. <<edited by BWW staff | it wasn't profanity, but it was a personal attack that is not appropriate for the message board.>> If they deleted those words in my post then they can delete your insult.
So her personal attack to me is okay and appropriate for this board? Her intent was to imply that I am inconsiderate and not a decent person. Her words are far more a personal attack then the two words I used and then are not appropriate for this message board. DELETE THEM.
ArtMan, our rules prohibit direct, personal attacks, which, by definition, cannot be something that is implied. In fact, in our judgement, nothing in JudyDenamrk's posts rises to a personal attack – direct or otherwise – as she was questioning the tenor of your post and the decision to use a booster seat, not insulting you as a person.
That is much different than insulting someone's mental health as you did, which is what necessitated the edits in your posts.

I mean ya I can't control my height. I naturally feel bad but there's just simply nothing I can do about it
