In the history of theatre, we have seen many talented people make Broadway debuts. Unforunately, some make their debuts but never perform in starring roles again, and get stuck with chorus roles or possibly just come onstage from time to time in some non-speaking roles. Who is your favorite amongst those who perform once in leads and haven't been given the opporotunity to recieve starring roles again? My personal favorite is Becky Watson from By Jeeves. She made a fabulous Madeline.

After listening to her singing on the OBC's of "A Little Night Music" and "Company", as well as "The Baker's Wife", I would have loved to hear more Teri Ralston.
Stephanie J Block and Kelli O'Hara have been almost continuously employed for at least half a decade. They hardly qualify as underemployed. What's next: will someone suggest that Sutton Foster doesn't get enough work?
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
I think Victoria Mallory should have had more roles. She was in the original alnm, as well as Follies, and I believe a Sondheim revue. I just love her voice, though! Perhaps Ramona Mallory will go on to get many more roles, hopefully. Their voices have a similar quality, but different. Call me crazy, but I actually love Ramona's "squeakiness." It just works for the character of Anne in alnm. Naive and dreamy, full of whimsy.

"Just remembering that you had an "and" when you're back to "or" makes the "or" mean more than it did before" -Into the Woods
"Enjoy your party..." -Company
"The thing about explorers is, they discover things that are already there." -In Trousers
"How do you know what you want 'til you get what you want and you see if you like it?" -Into the Woods
"I feel so much spring within me, blow winds blow, spring has just begun. And something's taken wing within me. What was dark so long had felt like winter, finally there's sun." -A New Brain

Charlotte really deserves the chance to originate a role. She is so talented.
