On a whim, I looked for tickets for tonight and found AA 2 and 4, which I can only assume would be great seats. Then, my friend also found, after going through about 10 pairs of tickets, a pair that seems like they are in row A of the orchestra. However, Telecharge lists them as this:
2 Tickets, Center Visual Impair Row A, Seats 107-108
What does the "Center Visual Impair" part mean? It doesn't say "Center Orchestra" like usual, but it does say "2 rows from stage." Are these actually 2nd row dead center? If they are, which is better, AA 2-4 or A 107-108?
If anyone has any info, we'd greatly appreciate it.
Pretty sure it means tickets that they hold for audience members with visual impairments, who need to sit close to the front? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I would suggest sitting further back for Billy Elliot...there are large dance numbers and elevated set pieces and I'm not sure you'd be able to see everything from that close.
I personally love sitting close up, but wouldn't recommend it for a first viewing.
A107-108 are right in back of the conductor, which can be pretty distracting, again, if its your first show. I sat in AA right next to him once and it wasn't bad. You might enjoy AA2/4 a bit more though, which are the closest to center seats in right orchestra. The stage is not terribly high, I'm pretty short and can still see everyone's feet. Its also pretty steeply raked.
