I think this show will get nominated for many Tonys this year. One they will not be able to get into is best score, but hopefully they will win Best Musical.
I really, really want to see this, and I'm going to start planning my trip out now.
Is there any reason to wait for the official opening on this one? I've never been to a show during previews, but this seems like a decent one to see under previews.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Well, this is the first time in ages when a new musical is playing at the St. James Theatre. The theatre's last four shows "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Gypsy," "Desire Under the Elms," and "Finian's Rainbow" have all played on Broadway before.
I can't wait to see this...and I think this is the first ever Broadway show I will be able to drag my twin sister to see...we are both die hard GREEN DAY fans!
