The actor who plays Nicky/Trekkie is Cullen Titmus. Believe it or not, but I saw him as Brian on the tour back in '07!

Thanks, I never got to see it while on B'way and was wondering if they would scale back or cut some parts when they moved it Off B'Way. Glad they didn't, really looking forward to seeing it.

So wait, which theater is this in? The Rooms theater?
Did they keep the giant Kate Monster too?

Just pay for the damn ticket.
"Hi there, we represent The Broadway Better Business Players for a Better Tomorrow. We're trying to start a petition to get second rate shows taken off the marquee and with your help we can stop Mamma Mia from ever playing again." -Brad Jones in Suburban Knights

I walked past the theater on my way home from work and noticed there were about 45 people waiting around 6 o'clock Thursday. Have fun!
Yes, but people wanted to make sure that they had dirt cheap tickets instead of paying for a ticket online. Man, what has this country come to?
Glad to hear the show is in great condition.

A recession.

Glad you can afford to say such words. If I don't get a discounted ticket, I cannot attend a theatre performance (depending on price, of course). I live paycheck to paycheck, and if I know I am coming to New York, I can only save up so much. It's either pay $75 to see one show (and at a discounted rate, at that!) or see three different shows by rushing. I would LOVE to be able to pay full price and get exceptional seats. I would LOVE to even produce theatre with my own money. Alas, I cannot afford that luxury.
So I'll pay for the damn DISCOUNTED ticket, thanks.
And KUDOS to the theatres which offer discount tickets, especially rush tickets.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

To answer some questions
-Pretty much everything from the Broadway show is in this version
-Giant Kate Monster is in it as well.
-The theater is "Stage 3"

How full was the house? I do wonder if there's enough marketing being done to counteract the previous closing notice. Good thing they resumed performances on a three-day weekend for a lot of people, so TKTS can throw some traffic their way.
"Hey little girls, look at all the men in shiny shirts and no wives!" - Jackie Hoffman, Xanadu, 19 Feb 2008
the house was nearly full. Stage 3 seats 499. I'd say there were about 25 empty seats.

I was there as well (via TKTS). And now that I look at your picture Saveusmike, I am the person who took your picture before the show.
I enjoyed the show. Not as good as the last time I saw it with the final cast but still good. The one person who I REALLY missed was Ann Harada. I think all the Christmas Eves after her just over play the part and are not as funny. They don't have the voice or the accent and they don't deliver the lines believably.
Brian is and will always be an awful character.
Anika Larson is phenomenal.
Seth Something (I think) was good as Princeton/Rod. Nothing to write home about but still good, his voice was what didn't impress me that much.
And I love whoever played Mrs. T and the Bad Idea Bear, she is hilarious.
The only change I saw was that in "Fantasies Come True" when the beds normally separate and fly up, this time they were on these rolling platform things. It's hard to explain. but the beds tilt to the side and then two people role them off stage, it's very badly done and hope that it is changed.
I hope to go back further into the run and enjoy it more.
Also I saw Jason Moore walking around New World Stage and standing in the back and Robert Lopez (Does he go by Bobby?) sitting mid orchestra behind Kevin McCollum.

I was there on the 9th and aside from some technical difficulties, it was a great performance! Cullen made a late entrance before "Fantasies Come True" which was awkward and there were sound issues. Also, Seth sins very quietly. Overall it's a great cast (especially Anika).
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
As a person who uses discount codes all the time I don't mind the discussions about them. But I do have to say that tking does make a bit of a pest of himself regarding the topic which can raise the ire of other posters.
"All our dreams can come true -- if we have the courage to pursue them." -- Walt Disney
We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
Ha! Chita its truly a small world. Thank you again for the picture. It was my mothers first time seeing the show and she wanted a "memory".
Btw awesome "Curb your enthusiasm" shirt!
I agree though about Christmas Eve. This one just didnt do it for me at all. My mom liked her and I tried arguing the fact that she wasnt all that good but she countered that she had nothing to compare it too.
Seth was a good princeton. His voice is a polar opposite from princetons of past. He had a little deeper tone to it.
You can clearly tell though he was nervous. he was just DRENCHED in sweat. It looked like he was caught in a storm.
However, he did much better than I expected (He was a AWFUL Brian understudy when I saw him).
The new Ms.T is so funny I liked her alot. She managed to take her little parts and add her own extra thing to them.

Haha, yep it is! And thank you, I always get comments about that.
I don't know what it is about the character but Ann I believe will always be the BEST Christmas Eve.

I have no one to compare her to, but I have to agree that the Christmas Eve character on Fri. night was WAY over the top - to the point it wasn't even funny.
Anika Larson - outstanding!
