WOW! I haven't read the article yet....but does this break some kind of record??? I remember when Spring Awakening re-couped in 9 months they made a big deal about it....THIS is what FOUR months?
Congrats!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Congrats to the cast/crew on this FANTASTIC news. Hope they pull a strong multi-year run.

"There's nothing good on. The media hates Christmas. The media loves vampires, though. Maybe they will show a Twilight Christmas." -Danmeg's 10 year old son.
Great job!!!! I should have a long, healthy run. And I thought A Chorus Line recouped quickly(6 months).
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Fast as this was, it makes sense. Compared to most shows, I'm sure it cost very little to produce.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
That's great; wasn't the production delayed because of inadequate funding/an inability to secure producers? If so, what an amazing outcome!
"I'll cut you, Tracee Beazer!!!!
...Just kidding. I'd never cut anyone." -Tina Maddigan, 9/30/06, WS stage door

I'm thinking about legally changing my name to Lizzie Curry...

$5.76 million, according to the article.
The average Broadway musical today costs $10 million.
I bet everybody who pulled out of investing is kicking himself now.
