If Aaron had been full of wonder and excitement about entering the world of the Moulin Rouge we would have seen it more through his eyes. There is a rush and an all encompassing thrill when one embarks on a journey of that kind, in his case as a writer and a romantic. It was missing from his performance which harmed the emotional aspects. He was the protagonist after all. M
