I have to eat my words.  I really like the new cd.  Upon, first listen, I thought it was okay.  The second listen...it got better.  My third listen...even better.  Soon, I will end up saying...I love it.

I love. It definitely features some of the weirder more experimental stuff she’s ever done, which is a strength in my opinion. Her best album since Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Jumping in here late. I was down in Vegas to see Celine Dion the weekend of May 17-20 ( a long weekend in Canada) & had such a good time that while I was there I booked airfare to go down again on our long-weekend in November. I looked at the price of Gaga tickets in November & balked. I got a ticket for Donny & Marie as it will be one of their final weekends. I hadn't been paying close attention to Madaonna's dates as I had resigned myself that I wouldn't be seeing any Madame X shows. Then that  Monday morning I got the email listing the Vegas dates & realized it was for the weekend in November I had just booked airfare for. I went through all the same drama I read about on this thread putting in a request for tickets. But then when tickets were being confirmed I got an email saying my request had not been accepted. The weird thing was, the email said my request for tickets to Philidephia was not accepted. I was confused, I found the number for whatever ticket agency & called & was like "I didn't request tickets for Philidephia." They were like, somebody just sent out the wrong template, it means Las Vegas even if it days Philidelphia. What a shoddy operation. Anyways, when the public Ticketmaster sale went on I was able to get a seat. I'm sitting a few rows back from where I sat for Celine, but for about $100 more than Celine. With the current exchange rate it will hurt when I get my credit card statement. I'm going to the Sunday Vegas show. For Saturday I have already got a ticket for the new Spiegelworld show "Atomic Saloon" & might also see the new Cirque show R.U.N.- but since that only opens in October there are zero discounts, & they have it listed as being only 75 minutes long. So I might pass on that & see something else.

Ah, here it is. I thought thread had been deleted.

FYI:

“As a result of the highly specialized production elements being delayed, Live Nation has confirmed that the first 3 concerts of Madonna’s Madame X Tour – a series of rare and intimate performances – have been delayed and that the tour will now start on Tuesday, September 17th at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. The shows previously scheduled for September 12th and 14th at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House have been rescheduled to October 10th and 12th respectively. Tickets for the September 12th performance will be honored at the October 10th event. Tickets for the previously scheduled September 14th concert will be honored at the October 12th show. Refunds for either date if required will available via the original ticket purchase link accessed either via desktop or mobile. Unfortunately, due to scheduling limitations and venue availability, the show previously scheduled for September 15th is cancelled and refunds will be automatically issued to fans with tickets to this show.”

I hope no one is adversely affected who already had tickets for the first three dates

I wonder if this is due to low ticket sales. I am shocked at how many seats are available.

The box office representative insisted to me that the show was sold out for the run.  I told him no, there were plenty of empty seats.  He also insisted the show will begin promptly at 8:30.  I wanted to try after Moulin Rouge on a Sunday night, but didn't want to take the risk that he was right.

I don’t believe it was due to low sales. Those first few dates were close to sold out. Of course, all dates will have resale tix available usually at a hefty profit. I believe that some of the high tech stuff (as stated in the press release) was delayed causing a delay in opening. It wouldn’t make sense otherwise to move 2 of the early shows to very late in the run and cancel another.

I’m just glad my dates are not affected. Initially I thought it was the first three October dates that were affected and I was freaking out! Lol

This will be interesting to see.  She is so notorious for starting late.  All the Vancouver yoga moms at her shows on the MDMA tour were absolutely livid when she didn't go on until almost midnight and that they had been waiting 4 hours. The whole stadium was women pulling their tickets out & going "Look it says 8pm RIGHT here!"  When she came back for the Rebel Heart tour she could only sell one night instead of 2 here, & even that didn't sell out.  Vancouver b!tch3s have long memories & forgive nothing.

FYI - I think is the overall a good thing, but would’ve liked a few pics/videos from front row although I can certainly see how distracting that would be in such an intimate space.

Curious to know how “big” the show will be.
