Don't put the cart before the mule. People are debating this ad nauseam. Why don't we just WAIT and see before making a snap conclusion.

Because it's been asked, answered and resolved in the other thread.

Because this is a discussion board. It is a very legitimate concern considering the amount of censorship being employed on Disney+.

My point is that we shouldn't just make assumptions. And this thread is full of them. Assuming that Disney is going to censor it, but with no knowledge that they are. Wait and see, and then complain if you don't like it makes more sense in my eyes. Why get bothered or upset about something that you don't know is going to happen or not? I totally understand being upset about something being censored, but there's no confirmation that it is being censored or not

Has there been a trailer released for this yet?

Likewise, there is no indication they won't censor it. And Disney's history is against it, so speculation is fair game.

This is pretty much 99.9% of what the trailer would look like.  Shot exactly the same way.

I mean, yeah, if you want to get upset about something that hasn't been confirmed. Go ahead. Seems a waste of energy TBH

Rated PG-13 for “Language and Some Suggestive Material.”

Honestly, this rating does seem to indicated that some editing is possible. If there was more than one f bomb in it, it would likely be PG-13 for “brief strong language.”

Depends on how the F bomb is used. If it’s a “what the **** is this?”, they’re looser with the rating. If it’s used to reference sex, only one can be used. (If I’m recalling the MPA rules correctly)

There really isn’t an official rule. The normal amount is one, but if you make a case for the reasoning it is used, you can win your argument. I remember Gunner Palace has 30+ uses of the word.

BUT if it was used more than once, with a PG-13 rating, it would say more than just “language.” “Brief strong language” and “some strong language” are both used for PG-13 films with more f bombs.

Living in Portland, scalpers emailed me wanting $350-$1050 for front balcony seats to see the touring company in 2021. Disney+ wants $6.99 for one month. I think it's a no brainer - besides, I already used their free month to watch Encore, The Mandalorian and High School Musical: The Series.

That's not necessarily true. The Fast and the Furious, Million Dollar Baby, and Non-Stop say it 3, 4, and 5 times, and none of them say "strong language." 2 say "language," and 1 says "some language."

And on the other hand, The King's Speech was famously (and controversially) rated R purely for a scene wherein Colin Firth's character interjects his speech with a series of F-bombs as an exercise to overcome his stammer. And that film was rated R "for some language." Their standards and language are meaningless, I don't think we can draw conclusions either way at this point.

That trailer looked fantastic! I like that it seems to be using a lot of wide shots--so many of these pro-shot shows spend so much time in closeups, missing the wider picture and the composition that look so great on stage. Hamilton is a show with so much detail, I'm glad that it looks like we'll actually be able to take it all in.

I think it is extremely selfish and spoiled to ask for people to try to find a way that people who don’t have access to Disney+ can access the proshot for free. I’d hope the actors are getting some sort of compensation from this, and if they’re not, and people are just watching it for free instead of signing up for access and paying less than $10, it makes my blood boil. Bootlegs and a proshot?? Choose one or the other. You can’t have both. 😡😡😡

Do any of you stop to think about how you treat others? I have no problem blocking people :)

Disney already cut the option of the free trial just for Hamilton.

It honestly makes me lose a bit of respect for the show, its message and the viewers if all there is to care about is whether or not they say two ****s or not

Don't bother, he already said he doesn't care if that's what needs to happen to make the show more available. It really makes no sense why people are so up in arms
