As someone who usually sees most shows solo, I can say it’s really not discrimination. Shows know that it is harder to sell a solo seat so if your purchase leaves a solo seat behind, the app/webpage will disallow your purchase. This is as true if you’re trying to purchase one of two seats that are together as it is if you’re trying to buy 3 of the 4 seats that are together, leaving a seat stranded by itself.

HOWEVER...if you call Ticketmaster, they may be able to assist you with your ticket purchase of just one Can Can Seat unless those are special cases. In fact, anytime I have called Telecharge or Ticketmaster to purchase a solo ticket they have been able to grab one of the seats so it shows it is unavailable so I can purchase the other. Or else I have just bought it on the phone with them. It is cheaper to buy it through the app or webpage (less fees) usually so if they can grab one seat for long enough for you to purchase the other that’s your best bet.

In fact, that’s exactly what I did for my Moulin Rouge ticket for September 28 before I decided to give in and gift my friend the seat next to me. Good luck! Let us know if that works!

Someone posted a while back about this, and they said that even the box office won't sell a single Can Can seat, so you might be out of luck.

Saw the show yesterday with my adult daughter, from MEZZ C, Row C, seats 101-102 (aisle). Great seats for a view of the depth of the stage, and fullness of the dance numbers. 

One thing not so good, if this matters to you, and ONLY if this matters to you. If you are in orchestra center, close to the front, or in the Can Can seats, you will have opportunities to get close to some of the actors, and there may be a little interaction... glances and such. Those are cool experiences. We didn't get that, so "a chacun son gout," as the French would say. 

WOMEN'S RESTROOMS: Putting this in bold, because to some of us it is important. There is no ladies room on the mezzanine level. The women's room is a floor below the orchestra level. There is a handicapped bathroom on the orchestra level.

I did not know this when I bought seats in the mezzanine. I chose aisle seats, planning to make a quick getaway at intermission. Once I discovered the bathroom situation, I asked an usher what the song just before intermission was. She didn't recall the name, but said Satine was wearing pink lingerie. So when that time came, I dashed off to the ladies room and was back upstairs (but was asked not to return to my seat) and was able to watch the last half of the number from the back. So, avoided the intermission rush.

Outside Line: We got to the theater about an hour ahead of time, and the line was massive, wrapping around the corner of the street. To my surprise the line started moving within several minutes, and at a very fast clip. We were inside in no time! Good job Al Hirschfeld staff! Worth it to get inside early, buy souvenirs (we each got a tote for $15 each), and watch sexy pre-show warmups.

Funny about the restrooms. I was center aisle in the orchestra H 2-4 and the last note of I Will Always Love You before the house lights came up I was out the door and upstairs for the Mens Room.

Just a quick question; deciding between the extreme side partial view seats in OrchL and OrchR, either F11 or F12. See that they're similar enough from viewfrommyseat but my question is would i miss more of the show from either sitting in house left or right or is it much the same?

For what it's worth, G 14 is priced higher than G 13, so, unless it's some weird Ticketmaster thing, maybe they consider far house right to be less partial than house left.

Just saw MR. I was anxious about the height of the passerelle for Row C (the first row of traditional seats behind the CanCan tables). But no problems with sight lines. I’m 5’9 and my eye level was basically level with the top. 

**MINOR SPOILERS**

PROs: Tons of interaction with the cast before and during. Today, Danny poked me with his cane in the opening number and lovingly called me “filth”. The girls and some of the boys make intense sustained staring eye contact; if you’re uncomfortable with this type of fourth wall breaking, the first couple rows aren’t for you. Great to see the costumes up close and it’s definitely immersive. 

CONs: The price of $349 LOL but hell, I only get here once or twice a year. My neck aches a bit for staring up at the performers, Santine’s two (three?) trapeze entrances aren’t as dramatic. The second time when she lands on the passerelle I really thought she was going to drop in my lap! It’s a LOUD show which I didn’t mind a bit  however, there are some small speakers in the passerelle wall, one directly in front of us that blasted some music once in a while. Really loved the show and these seats, however, I’m sure the overall experience is better from rows G or H or so.

I saw it in the same seats and loved every minute of it!  To be up close to see all the costumes, and the interaction with the cast is something I will never forget. It's loud AF but I really enjoyed that aspect of it. It's such a fun show.

I bought my tickets before I realized some of the seats are obstructed by the elephant.. (in the room.. tehee). 

I have front Mezzanine Right seats A10 and A12. I realize obviously I'll be close to the elephant. Any ideas how my view will be (or if it will be affected).

Due to another trip that involves cross-country travel, I am contemplating a quick stop in New York City to catch this at the tail end of next month. But I'm stuck with a Friday or Saturday night, so that limits my options considerably. From the sound of it, the sides are bad, the rear mezzanine is bad. Is that overstating it? The people pleased with their seats are close to the center or are in a prime mezzanine spot.

Are there cheaper seats, on the side or further back in the orchestra or mezzanine, that you folks think would be worth it? (This show isn't going anywhere for a while, so I will have other chances to see it in the future.)

We sat in center orchestra row P. Although this is behind the mezz overhang, the only thing we missed was the first few seconds of Satine's descent to the stage. Although these seats definitely weren't cheap, everything in front of row P was even more expensive. IMHO, this show is not worth the current premium pricing; if you have the luxury of time, I would wait a while for the "new hot ticket" demand to wane a bit.
