Two great perspectives (I'm assuming same price?). But if I had to choose, the first row mezz!!!

Not gonna lie, I'm a little jealous. Don't forget to get there early!

Plus with front row mezz you won't have to worry about someone tall in front of you!

I'm curious about this, as well. We bought 4 tix for dead-center first row mezzanine awhile ago because everyone was talking bout the massive production from Boston and how it's such a spectacle, that Mezz gives the best view. Then we started recently getting the pictures from the seats and it now seems like EVERY seat in the mezzanine gives a cropped view of the actors when they're on the front of the catwalk part of the stage. This show was the catalyst for planning this particular trip, so I keep getting worried that we maybe made a mistake and should have done, like, row H in the orchestra, instead. People say you can still see the top halves of the actors when they're down on the passerelle, but I just feel like the front row of the mezzanine shouldn't have to be dealing with ANYTHING in the way of obstructions.

I feel for you - Ticketmaster regret is a terrible thing. If the show used Telecharge, it's very likely that you could've called customer service and had them move you to the orchestra (subject to current availability, of course). I did this just yesterday with To Kill a Mockingbird. When I bought my tickets, the best I could get was left side orchestra, but I randomly checked again and finally found some center orchestra seats that had been released for the same performance. Telecharge was very helpful and simply moved me to the new seats.

Not sure if they recently released them, or if they just lowered the prices, but some far side front orchestra partial view seats are available on Ticketmaster for $99, Tuesday through Friday, more expensive on the weekends. I picked up G 13 for a date in September, since, if I'm going to see the show again, I want to be close!

They would save so much issue if they just remove the darn elephant trunk!! I sat in front rows in those mezzanine partial seat. The good news is most of show was center but anything on right side you miss. I saw about 5% of Eiffel Tower part.

We’re in Orch C103/104 in a couple weeks. I’m confused by your post. You saw it was perfect, but then refer to partial views. Are you talking about Row C or the other partial view seats in the theater? I was concerned about the passarelle when buying these but decided to splurge.

Has anyone sat around N20 in the right orchestra? Been stressing out about where to sit...these prices are no joke.

Just got back from a New York City and splurged on tickets to Moulin Rouge and Hadestown. I did a lot of research before buying tickets and I actually went to the box office inquiring further with the box office staff as to the ideal place to sit. They actually let me look in the theater as I know someone who was the voice teacher for Aaron back in the day. I chose row L center orchestra and I have to say this is the perfect section to enjoy this spectacular show. Anything from Row J to N center would be ideal as you do not want to be too close for this show and the cancan seats are way too close and I was told by an usher  that you get locked in during act one and act two so god forbid if you are claustrophobic or have to go to the washroom or if there is any emergency health problem....you cannot get out !
I went up to the mezzanine for those inquiring and if you are not sitting in the first row center then yes you will have some mild obstruction when the actors go to the edge of the stage via the passerelle.
As for ticket prices I suggest you follow closely the Ticketmaster site because the tickets that we bought were originally 399 and then later in the day became 329 close to showtime which is when we bought them at the box office. We wanted center orchestra and these tickets were worth every penny.
I highly suggest showing up at least 40 minutes ahead of time to go up to the mezzanine to take photos and enjoy the splendor of the design of the venue .There is a preshow as well with women swallowing swords and characters walking on the stage. They allowed us to take pictures and video at this time.Leave enough time to spend time at the merch table.
I bought the program the mug the shot glasses which sold out immediately as well as two magnets .
Hope this helps !
A show not to be missed ! Spectacular Spectacular!!

My friend and I are sitting Mezzanine Left K 1 & 3  I’ve already accepted that we’ll miss everything occurring on the proscenium/catwalk, but I sincerely hope we won’t miss Satine descending. Anyone know?

You wont miss it at all

You wont miss anything at yne proscenium either. Probably the bottom half of anything on the passerelle. (But its not used terribly often)

Thanks to everyone who offered seating suggestions. I ended up going with front row center mezz. Awesome seats! You can see everything, including all the action on the passerelle. The show is WILD!

I sat in Orch Right K 18-20. They were fine overall. Didn't miss much.

I sat in J 19-21 last week (same seat, other side). They're fine for the price but you will miss some stuff. My advice, skip the show altogether.

My sis in law really wants to see this. I'm looking at J 17 and 19. Don't really want to pay more than $99 so this is my only option unless I go to the back of the mezzanine. Thoughts?

HI All,

I am taking my mother to see the show and I am always somewhat limited on seating as she is in her 80s. I am looking at Orch H 1-3. I don't think there are any issues with these seats but wanted to check if there is and if anyone has been seated in the area.

Thanks. :)

My daughter sat in J 17 last week.  The view is okay but you will miss some of the action on stage right.  For example, the mirror of Satine’s dressing table blocked our view of her face during one scene.  As an aside, why have a real mirror there at all?  Why not just have a circular cutout to suggest a dressing mirror?  That would solve the sight line issue very simply. It is the theatre after all, I don’t mind using my imagination.  Anyway, you also won’t be able to see the Count when he is up on the balcony SR.  We also couldn’t see the L’amour sign from these seats.  That said,  I think they’re probably better than way back in the mezzanine.

Enjoy the show!  We didn’t but I hope you will.

I sat in J18, which was marked “partial view” and was definitely a partial view seat. I could hardly see anything happening in the balcony on the stage (should I call it a box?)  on my side.

I also found some ensemble members on the side platform obstructing part of my view of the center stage.

I ran up to the mezzanine to check the view from there during the intermission. I’m sure everyone has their own preferences, but I would still pick J18 over mid to rear mezzanine because I enjoyed being close to the gorgeous massive set—so massive that it was obstructing my view once in a while....
