PPAC in providence has revised its season as follows:

The Prom (tour launch) 1/23-1/29/21
Oklahoma! 3/2-3/7/21
Ain’t too Proud 3/30-4/4/21
Summer 4/6-4/11/21
My Fair Lady 4/20-4/25/21
Mean Girls 6/15-6/20/21

Pretty Woman (tour launch) and The Cher Show have been cut from the season. Is PW being postponed?

Additionally, their “encore” series has cut Les Mis from the lineup and RENT has been moved to 2/12-2/14/21. Jersey Boys will return next spring as a separate option not part of either package.

Pretty Woman is supposed to come to Philly the following week.  I am wondering if that will get cut (probably).  Also, Ain't Too Proud is supposed to run in Philly from 3/16 - 4/4.  I guess they are cutting the last week of the run here and sending it up to Providence.

According to the Bushnell in Hartford (Instagram), the start of the Hadestown national tour has been postponed. Any word from other presenters or the show itself yet to confirm this?

It has been announced that the launch of the Hadestown tour is postponed until further notice.

A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Interesting that Les Miz doesn't say the tour has closed — just postponed until further notice.

So now according to a new casting notice they’re trying to cast the majority of the leads as POC. Is this to “cash in” on the current situation?

Just saw this on Twitter. This is for the Tootsie tour for those who don’t know. I hate to make assumptions but this is just so... odd...

An agent posted on the twitter thread that originally they only had 7 submissions with diverse talent, so they sent out the breakdown again to try and get more submissions from that talent pool. It’s suspect timing though, and worded poorly.

Ah okay I missed that. Yeah agree that the timing makes it come off a bit weird for sure, but based on that and I suppose principally either way, it seems like it’s in good nature.

We are thrilled that both Tootsie and Hadestown will remain part of the upcoming 2021 season and, as such, your seats are secured.

Curious when Broadway in Chicago will announce more updates to their season. Currently, Moulin Rouge and Six are set to play later in the year and I can’t imagine either being able to open. Hoping they get pushed back. Also hoping Dear Evan Hansen is able to get rescheduled.

Phoenix (Tempe) just announced that Oklahoma and Hamilton (the first two shows of the 20/21 season) are postponed and they'll attempt to reschedule them in 2021. Can't imagine they'll be the last, as we've already lost Hadestown.

Surprised they cancelled Hamilton instead of rescheduling it.  I had posted this in another thread, but this thread is the more appropriate.  We received an update, a while back on our season in Jacksonville.  They dropped Mean Girls and added Anastasia.    Although I really want to see Mean Girls, I want to see Anastasia more.  Since it was cancelled  prior.

Houston also announced a couple weeks back:

Wicked 6/23 - 8/1 - I really hope this happens. This will be the first show since shutdown, and I could just imagine Glinda coming down from the bubble "It's good to see me isn't it" and at the end "We've been through frightening times..."

My Fair Lady 9/14 - 9-19

Tootsie 11/16 - 11/21

Hadestown 1/4 - 1/9

Hamilton 2/22 - 3/20

Fiddler 4/26 - 5/1

Beautiful 6/3 - 6/5

Frozen 6/30 - 7/17

Mean Girls 8/16 - 8/21

I think that all seems very hopeful. If the shows start in June. Rehearsals would start in May. Auditions would be march/april. So I guess we'll see what the next few weeks bring.
