Since this show has long been in production and had success in other venues, is it safe to say that it probably won't change/improve much during previews?
i.e. going the first week is going to get us close to a finished product? As opposed to Cry Baby and others that went through decent changes.
Well, they've been saying that it's been changing and there's a lot of "new stuff for the old fans to enjoy" so I guess there's no guarantee that it'll be done changing by Saturday. But I doubt it would change as much as Cry-Baby since, yes, it has been together for a couple of years now.
ETA: Didn't mean to be redundant. Just took more time to type than the guy above me.

Not to veer off-topic, but there is a misconception that CRY-BABY changed during previews.
I saw the second preview, and then I saw it after it opened, and it was the same exact show both times.

I don't know how you can say it's the exact same show. I saw the 3rd preview then the "finished" show and 2 songs were cut, songs were moved around and Harriet's song wasn't orchestrated when I saw it the first time.
I actually liked the changes especially moving "Nobody Gets Me" to later in the show. Cry Baby came off as whiny when it was the first song he sang.
I love it! Can't wait to see this show in 10 days.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
Re; Cry-Baby, it was a completely different show. I've seen the first preview, and after the opening, it was a MUCH better show with the changes made, IMO. "Nobody Gets Me" was much better later in the show, removing "Let's Get Some Air", all the extra nonsense from "I'm Infected" and "You Can't Beat the System", and changing "Class Dismissed" to "A Whole Lot Worse" (a much better song, IMO) really benefitted the show. Also, I think Snyder's performance was much better after the opening.
Anyway, threadjacking!
[tos] is so awesome, and I can't wait to see it Saturday!
