CRY BABY will tour, per an ad in Variety, anyway. "YOU WANT COMEDY? WE'LL GIVE IT TO YOU WHEN WE HIT THE ROAD IN 2009!" in big red letters.

Concerning Grey Gardens, it's my understanding that people from the OBC have been approached to be in the touring production and for the most part, they have all passed up on the offers.

It looked like Grey Gardens wanted to tour but they just couldn't drum up enough interest in it.

Cry Baby is going on tour? Are the big houses really willing to risk losing that kind of money? Perhaps a short tour will work?

Xandu's new Posters look great so I hope it will make some money on tour? I like the idea but I'm not sure how well it will do in smaller towns or with older audiences? I think it has some of the best outlook going for it on the road though.

In The Heights I feel is going to do well. As long as they can reach their audience. Hopefully they can put together some snappy commercials to see it through. I'm really looking forward to seeing this. It looks lively and fun. Doesn't it still have a good enough audience to keep it running on Broadway for awhile? I still feel they should run with that momentum and head out on tour but that is just me getting impatient to see this show. re: So how long till _____ announces a tour?

Sure I want South Pacific on tour. That won't be for awhile either, right? I still have some hope I might be able to see it on Broadway. It depends on how long they choose to run it.

Curtains too is on my list. What's taking them so long to put this all together? I guess, seeing so many oldies coming into our Theater is just making me more impatient to see some new material.

No one mentioned Legally Blonde yet either? Isn't this show already taking reservations? People are going to see it if only for the laughs and the girls.

There seems to be a lot of stuff waiting in the wings for their chance to go on Broadway. Next season looks interesting so I hope some of these shows just go on tour and leave on a high note.

South Pacific & Passing Strange are both currently available for booking under Broadway Booking Office (BBONYC) for 2009-2010 seasons.

Sunday In The Park With George & Curtains have an anticipated Fall 2009 commencement for their National Tours.

August: Osage County will be part of San Francisco's Best of Broadway Season's 2008-2009 Season. It'll Most likely begin late 2009.

Caroline, Or Change did produce a mini-tour in California (Los Angeles & San Francisco) with a majority of the original Broadway cast.

Ooh, a Gypsy tour would be fantastic, as well as Young Frankenstein and Cry-Baby. Gosh I wish I lived in New York...Or at least had more theatre here!

All of the other shows on that website are Non-Equity it looks like. Does that mean that YF and Gypsy are both gonna be Non-Equity?

No it doesn't mean they'll be non Equity. It just means that that booking company handles both union and non union shows.

And just because they're on the "roster" doesn't mean they'll definately tour. It means they're in the very least fishing for interest from road presenters.

I would be SHOCKED if LuPone toured with Gypsy. The production may tour, but it would likely have a new Mama Rose.
