Jekyll & Hyde did have some extremely graphic scenes. There were also some very violent scenes with people being tortured in Kiss of the Spider Woman. There's the 'Glory' scene from Pippin which is pretty bloody, too.

There are a bunch of shows where people get shot and killed onstage, but I don't know if any of them would count as 'extreme': Saigon, Les Mis, Blood Brothers.

Enjolras77 - The only blood I can remember in Dracula was in "Fresh Blood." Dracula bit a victim and revealed himself to be younger and his face covered in blood. I think that's it though. Lucy and Dracula were both killed, the former with a stake and the latter with a knife, but there was no blood.

Not extremely violent, but there are two strangulations in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and the Phantom does try to hand Raul and at another point throws fire at Christine and Raul. AND he caused the chandelier to fall.

In the lyrics MM Girey warns to keep your hand at the level of you eyes to avoide the Punjab lasso
