Just because Anthony Rapp is nasally doesn't mean the man singing it has to be. A nasal voice is not in Mark's character description. It was something Rapp brought to the role. If the guy has good comedic skills and you have a nice belt, you could do it.

What about Old Fashioned Wedding from Annie Get Your Gun?

Although my vote is with You Must Meet My Wife from A Little Night Music. You can't get any better than A Little Night Music. If your partner is a queen (or can play a queen), you could also re-work Every Day a Little Death.

Is there any sheet music for Little Me? "I Love You" is sooo funny.

How about "It Takes Two" from Into the Woods? I also like "Anything You can do..." You could do a lot of stuff with both of them.

ktswaz, my new philosophy isnt really a duet. it's a lot of the girl singing and the boy watching. There are few moments when they sing together or when he sings for the matter.

"Sing the words, Patti!!!!" Stephen Sondheim to Patti LuPone.

Therapy from TTB would be hilarious...though you'd have to be careful not to jumble up the words, lol.

Hmm...maybe if your partner dressed up as a gorilla, you could do 'If you Could See Her' from Cabaret? Heh.

Ahahaha, that would indeed be hilarious. Well, I'm still checking out everyones ideas, and so far they are great. My partner is a bass so its going a little to be hard to find a "perfect" duet, but a lot of the ones everyone has been saying are really good.
Please keep them coming!

Ahahhaa, I just heard a sound bite from "I Love You" Little Me, and it was hilarious. But there was only about 30 seconds of it which included dialogue, so I just wanted to know what the rest of the song was like if anyone knows?

"If You Could See Her" is not a duet. Only the Emcee is singing.

Chasing and Miriam...you hit on two of the top, but little done, boy/girl duets.

"Everything I've Got" - Rogers & Hart
"Cherry Pies Ought to be You" - Cole Porter

There's a wealth of material here for some smart and savy performers. Streisand dared to be different. So can you be bosy and girls!

Okay, this is a very rare find, but "Strange Duet" from Subways are for Sleeping (that is one that would be VERY unique).

If you want funny and rare/obscure, I have two for you:

"A Word A Day" by Johnny Mercer from the musical "Top Banana"

and

"Shakespeare Lied" by Carolyn Leigh and Elmer Bernstein from the musical "How Now Dow Jones." My theater group used it in a revue and it went really well. On the recording, it's two people singing to a third (who only has only a few lines in the song), but the song in the vocal selections is written so that one person could sing it. I have the sheet music if you need it. Email me.

"A coherent existance after so many years of muddle" - Desiree' Armfelt, A Little Night Music "Life keeps happening everyday, Say Yes" - 70, Girls, 70 "Life is what you do while you're waiting to die" - Zorba

Love Is Your Legs from DRS. It's hysterical.

Any moment from Into the Woods maybe.

The Internet is for Porn. (maybe a tad inappropriate though)

Some have choruses in the back, but I think you can get away doing it without them.

Wow, Jan '04? This is probably pointless, I have a feeling the performance is way over.
