"Phantom" has bad music, bad lyrics, a bad book and a bunch of nutcases for a fan base. ("Wicked" only had tha latter two.)

Name 10 of your favorite Broadway shows

1. The Last 5 Years
2. Wicked
3. Rent
4. Ragtime
5. Miss Saigon
6. Avenue Q
7. The Wedding Singer
8. Children of Eden
9. Aspects of Love
10. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Have you ever seen these shows live? If so, where?

I saw Rent at the Theater for the Performing Arts in Sacramento when it was a part of the Broadway series, Miss Saigon I saw twice at the Orpheum in San Francisco, Ragtime I believe I saw at the Golden Gate in San Francisco, Children of Eden I saw the first time as a part of a children's theater production in my town and then again at the San Jose theater for the Performing Arts.

What's your favorite song from play 2?
"As Long as You're Mine"

Who's your favorite character from play 4?
I'd say Sarah. . . just because I love Audra! :)

What's your favorite scene from play 5?
I love, love, love "The Movie in My Mind" and "Please", but I'm gonna go with the scene in Room 317. . .the first meeting between Kim and Ellen. There's so much hurt and anger and just raw emotion there. It's really tense.

What's your favorite lyric from play 8?
"Oh my garden all peace and beauty-- you know that all my heart is yours-- i want to stay here-- stay here forever-- father forever-- i cannot leave--" I'm like the most un-religious person (is that even a word?) but that line always kills me.

From play 10, which character are you most like?
Oh god. . . theyre all awful. . .:) ummm. . .I'll say Christine but only for the mere fact that she isn't what she seems.

Can you quote every line from play 1?
Sadly, I can. Every single line. Any other show and I would most likely say no (except maybe for Rent), but this one, yes. . . every single line.

How many times have you seen play 3?
Just once, but it was awesome beyond anything. My sister and I were more excited than I can even explain. Oh, and I've seen the movie a billion time, too, but it's not the same. :)

If you could be anyone from play 6, who would it be? Why?
Kate Monster, cause she rocks!!! And I love the songs "I Wish I Could Go Back to College" and "Fantasies Come True"

What's your favorite song from play 7?
At the moment I have two. . . well, four, but mainly two: "Come Out of the Dumpster" and "Not That Kind of Thing"

What's your favorite quote from play 9?
umm. . . I love every single line in "Falling" so much, but I'll say my favorite spoken quote is "But I don't know anything about theatre" but that's only because Michael sounds absolutely adorable when he says it and my favorite sung quote is the final exchange between Rose and Alex when she says "Just promise one thing" and he says "Alright what is it" and she says "Don't ask me questions you must promise first" and he says "I can't. I must know what it is" and she belts out that sorrowful, tragic "Don't leave me" and it shatters your soul . . . and then he leaves her. Bloody bastard. just kidding.

Out of all these plays, which one is your absolute favorite?
The Last 5 Years baby. . . hands down.

Who's the best Broadway actor?
Norbert is the greatest ever. Norbert Leo Butz, but I also adore Michael Ball even though it's very old-school, I guess. He's just got such an amazing voice.

Who's the best Broadway actress?
umm.. . . I love Sherie Rene Scott, definitely, but I also love Idina and Sutton and Kristin and Marin and Audra and Bernadette. I'll say Sherie, though.

What's the best musical they turned into a movie?
probably Chicago, but I have a soft spot for Rent. It's just, they did such a great job with Chicago. Rent's more of a sentimental love.

Is there a musical you DON'T like?
of course.

If so, which one? Why?
Cats. :) It never really did anything for me. Some songs are okay, I suppose but for the most part, nah. . .not for me. I also was not a huge fan of Lestat when I saw it in SF. I'm not saying it was bad or terrible or anything. I think it got a bad rep and was doomed from the beginning really, but it was a bit muddled and I felt it was a waste of Hugh Panarro's talents. I did however think Drew Sarich, Alison Fischer and Carolee Carmello were all very good.

Do you think the movie versions are better, or the original Broadway plays?
Nothing ever beats live. . . it just . . there's nothing else like it.

This or That:

The Producers or RENT - Rent

Wicked or Chicago - Wicked

Fiddler on the Roof or Oklahoma - Oklahoma

Thoroughly Modern Millie or 42nd Street - Millie

Hairspray or Grease - Grease

The Producers, it is kinda cute and some of the jokes are funny, but to me it's pretty flat and stuid. And the music really isn't good. (to me anyway)

Do you think the movie versions are better, or the original Broadway plays?
I do like how Chicago really held it's own sperately to the show (I wouldn't say one is "better" than the other). And I liked many of the newly designed costumes and sets for the Phantom film, even though the rest of the film was uneven.
