Quilters warning:

If you want to do the show CORRECTLY, you need to start SEVERAL MONTHS IN ADVANCE having the various quilts made. There are fifteen small (around 3' x4') quilt "blocks", and the gigantic Legacy Quilt (which should be at least 12'x12'). You CANNOT just find existing quilts and use them.

We've done the show at our theatre twice over the past 20 years. We had a local quilting club create the quilts We paid for materials and let them keep the small quilts after the show was done. We sold raffle tickets for The Legacy Quilt during the run of the show and made over $2000.

ALSO - the music for the show is written for a country band. You definitely need a guitar and fiddle at the very least. Two of each would be preferable This music WILL NOT work on a piano.

I go to an all girl school where there are plenty of extremely talented singers, dancers and actors... and then three times a year we try to do a show with as little guys as possible because our brother school is made up of a bunch of disgraceful hoodlums who wouldn't know talent if it smacked them in the face sooo with it being my fourth year here i'll let you know the shows we've managed to do successfully...

little women (best thing we've ever done even though the guys sucked)
Thoroughly modern mille (audience loved it)
Fiddler on the Roof (adult was a teacher so he saved the show)
A street car named desire (same as above, plus i was blanche so... lol)
"The Women" (sucks ass please don't)

for one acts we've done:
Posst cards from the edge
A Doll's house
Hairspray
The glass menagerie
Women of Manhatten
Indepence (reeeally goood)

Theres also "Nine" where the cast is literally all girls... with the exception of Guido Contini and his younger counterpart... or am I missing anyone?
