I like wicked... I agree with NYC4life. If someone ends up liking something thats awesome. Maybe this will mean that he'll start opening his eyes to other musicals too- Wicked did that for me... *

I find the people on this board to be quite pleasant and entertaining, for the most part. Perhaps you all should try to keep better company.

I semi agree with Kringas. There are some poeple on this board that are so very pleasant. However there is a good chunk of people who love proving they know more than you by being mean. You pick and choose your battles here.

I have turned many people into Wicked fans, including my mother who saw it for the first time a week ago in Chicago and already has tickets to two other showings so she can take other members of my family. I love the passion she has for an aspect of my life that means the most to me, theatre! Things could be a lot worse!

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

I hope his obsessiveness wears off after a while though, and doesn't continue through August.

And Zelda is a car, Ivan's a person.

Just ask Rebecca (Where is she anyway?). She met him.

My boyfriend is exactly the same!!! I think he loves Wicked more than I do. He amazes me. I'd question his sexuality if he weren't a mechanic.

" I'd question his sexuality if he weren't a mechanic."

I didn't know that mechanics' sexuality was unquestionable. I've been enlightened.

I've taken my boyfriend to see Wicked seven times and he still doesn't like it all that much. What is your secret?

No secret - he liked it all by himself! But maybe you should give up and stop taking him to it... otherwise he may grow to hate it. (plus, think of the money you'll save by not buying his ticket!)
