Wicked: Something Bad & Sentimental Man Hairspray: Timeless to Me & I Know Where I've Been The Last Five Years: The Last Ten Minutes (I HATE this song and I have no idea why)
As a side note am I the only one who listens to "A Message From John Lithgow" when listening to DRS? It always cracks me up :)
Hairspray-Timeless to me Rent-Over the Moon and Seasons of love Miss Saigon-The Dance Spelling Bee-Most of the goodbye songs they get annoying after a while
"It's funny how I keep getting South American rodents"
I think I just said in the other thread that I can listen to "Sunday in the Park With George" the whole way through, but I totally lied. I tend to skip "Day Off". It drives me crazy. I try to give it a chance and then I'm all, "Yo, stop being a dog, it's weird."
The Wedding Ceremony ~ Miss Saigon Music of the Night & All I Ask of You ~ Phantom When You're Good to Mama ~ Chicago Come With Me ~ Spamalot I Should Tell You & Over the Moon ~ RENT Something Bad, A Sentimental Man, & Wonderful ~ Wicked Call Back in the Morning, Closed for Renovation, & Suddenly Seymour ~ LSoH 'Til Him ~ The Producers Fantasies Come True, Special, & You Can Be As Loud (etc) ~ Avenue Q
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ I remember days Or at least I try But as years go by They're sort of haze And the bluest ink Isn't really sky And at times I think I would gladly die For a day of sky ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ And Starbucks will use the words 'large' and 'small', not pretentious crap like grande and tall. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "You could get away with anything if you call it art and tell people who don't like it that it's cutting edge culture." --vmlinnie ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I hate to admit this but I usually skip over "Special" from Avenue Q. Its my least favorite song in the show, not my least favorite performance though!
I skip "Purpose" in Ave Q. I like it in the show just fine, but I like listening to "If You Were Gay," "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" and "The Internet is for P0rn" as a little group, w/out "Purpose" being in there.
Almost every song that Chita is NOT in on the "Kiss of the Spider Woman" OBC (or was it an OLC??) I listen to the whole thing on the Vanessa Williams OBC Alternate though, I liked the men better on that one and they left in more dialouge. I also alway skip most of the "Betty Schaffer" tunes on "Sunset Blvd."
"It is bad enough that people are dying of AIDS, but no one should die of ignorance." -
Elizabeth Taylor
There are too many songs from too many Cast Recording that I skip. But I'll list a few: Agony(both) Into the Woods. Hate that song. Ironically I played Repunzil's Prince.
Somewhere that's Green. LSOH
Any slow song in The Music Man (but Marian the Librarian)
Little Lamb Gypsy
I like the songs Wonderful and Something Bad from Wicked, but I can't stand Sentimental Man and Thank Goodness
I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE the song "Letter to the Governer" from Parade.
i always skip it.
You must think I'm still sixteen.
I dropped out of high school for a reason.
And I don't care if you're pretty. I'm not admitting you are right.
My soul is not a stage.
I won't pretend I'm anything I'm not
OH!!! This is a perfect time to put out there my one song theory! I believe - i don't know if any agree with me - that every musical has at least one song that so doesn't need to be there. Sometimes they are crucial to the plot but you just wish that they weren't there coz they're so painful to listen to. some of mine are: maison des lune - b&theb Mr Cellophane - chicago dancing on the sidewalk - fame morning report - lion king dog eat dog and castle on a cloud - les miz cooties - hairspray like father like son - aida to name a few.
The song in between "I See Through You" (Track 16) and "Petrified" (Track 1.
"Winning a Tony this year is like winning Best Attendance in third grade: no one will care but the winner and their mom."

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."
-bjh2114 (on Michael Riedel)
Not to sound snobbish or anything - but some of you really put your taste in question with the songs you skip... Suddenly Seymour and Somewhere That's Green? Music of the Night and All I Ask of You? "Slow songs" in Music Man - like Goodnight My Someone and My White Knight??? The Last Ten Minutes and The Schmuel Song? Honestly, I'm not getting this at all! I mean, some songs listed here are pretty baaaaaaaaaaaad....
The only reason I skip Over The Moon is so I can get to La Vie Boheme sooner, but I do almost always skip it. I also skip What Was A Woman To Do on DRS because I want to get to Great Big Stuff. And also, Schroeder from YAGMCB. Is that the name? It's the one Lucy sings on the 2nd track. The combination of her purposefully annoying voice and the slow song is just painful.
