The best possible choice who I know for a fact REALLY wants to replace Christina is - Paige Davis. But sadly the Weissler's wont give it to her because she is not a "huge name."
I can also see SJP and Kelly Rippa.
But I can list TONS of Broadway actresses I'd love to see in the role, but it would never happen.
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE Bebe Neuwirth to play Charity again. but sadly she will never work for Barry & Fran again.

And pardon my ignorance, but what has Paige Davis done before? I looked her up on ibdb.com and she was a replacement in Chicago, has she done anything else?

Paige Davis trained and performned in Theatre for many years before hitting it big on "trading spaces." She is a real triple threat.
Professionally she's played Roxie Hart on Broadway (also on tour) and Babette on the Beauty and The Beast tour.

And as for her being too big a movie star, really? With the exception of a supporting role in Sin City, she hasn't been in a well received movie for 5 years.
