Ok so reviving this thread a little bit. I want to put on a concert of great flop songs at my school next semester. SO, if you guys could have your dream flops concert (12-13 songs) what would it be?

Hmmm...
"For Susan" and "For Sarah"...I might add "For Laura".
Glad people mentioned "Prettybelle".
I'd add "What Was Going On" and "I Am All Ablaze" from Canterbury Tales.

Anything from CARRIE was amazing to me but then again I always loved the composers.
And I loved stuff from Once on This Island but that is not a flop to me.

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Oh man, I hope this is for a benefit.
My favorite is "I Said it And I'm Glad" from Subways are for Sleeping. Not only from a flop musial, but CUT from a flop musical! And it's so great.

"The theatre is so endlessly fascinating because it's so accidental. It's so much like life." - Arthur Miller
"Mistress of Deception - The Fix"
yes! I also love "Spin".
Rowe and Dempsey have alot to put in this category, since they only have flops.
"Eastwick Knows" and "Make Him Mine" from Witches of Eastwick.

My vote is for pretty much anything from Craig Carnelia's score to "Is There Life After High School." Most especially "Fran and Janie."
(Speaking of Rowe and Dempsey, I've always been partial to "Rules Regulations and Respect" from "Zombie Prom," which I was surprised wasn't part of the short film adaptation of the show now available for free download on ITunes. Who films a musical and doesn't include the one big showstopping song from the stage version?)

Does anyone think "Leave Me Alone" from Side Show is pure brilliance?
