I would never support "Theatermania" so Im good just to pay the show directly. Theatermania gets a cut (similar to food apps) that is unfair to the production. It's 36.50 total if you buy it directly from here.

So do we think they’re going to have a bigger discount as they get more desperate to sell tickets?

I do have to say that it is inspired casting. Too bad NBC did not pick it up.

Because I'm taking a workshop/discussion session next week with Arden and Mays, they sent me the ability to purchase for one ten bucks.  I plan on watching tomorrow.

Just purchased my tix and WOOSH those fees.  My ten dollar ticket came to nearly TWENTY bucks!  And I checked - my code is listed as a one time use only - sorry peeps.

Is that workshop/discussion with Mays/Arden open to the public?

May's is a truly fine actor, there's no doubt about it, but ever since I AM MY OWN WIFE, I'e found that he does strange this with his eyes (does he make them too wide?) And I find it to be distracting.

Really, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

The cost of this has definitely stopped quite a few people I know from watching this- and the fact that includes ticket seller fees is absurd. It seems to me like this would invite even more ripping and sharing of the video

Watched this last night and thought it was excellent. Mays is the perfect actor for this project, and there were a few sections where I felt totally transported into the world of the play. I lost the lottery, but used the discount code in the notification email. I thought this stream was well worth the discounted price.

I won the digital lottery today on my 3rd try!! Ticket comes out to be $22.50 after fees. Looking forward to watching this production.

I had the opportunity to see this the other night. Fortunately, I it was someone else who had paid. I was completely fascinated by this production. Jefferson Mays gave a wonderful performance. While I truly enjoyed what I saw, I think the price tage is twice as expensive as it should be. Either this needed to be for profit, or it needed to be a fund raiser; attempting to be both means fewer people will be watching, due to the price tag. In any case, if you have the opportunity to see this at someone else's expense, or if you are willing to shell out the hefty sum to watch, you will surely enjoy the show.

Intersting news from my workshop:this was filmed in two different way; the streaming version we've been watching and a future film release (next year). We were told they are markedly ifferent. They also I hope to bring it to beay.

When I emailed their website to explain that as a teacher, I’d love to show this to my students, so could they make an exception for educators and expand the viewing period to three days, their response was “We can’t, but you can buy three separate show tickets.” ??? Good luck with your show, producers!

They arent required to give you any special treatment. Sure, it'd be nice....but they have every right to refuse that request.

There is probably something in the contracts they have that prevents them from doing this. I was trying to do a movie screening for a non-profit and had to go through so many avenues to clear the rights and still had to pay a lot of money.

Your sense of entitlement is gross. Yes, a show wants to make money, what a SHOCKER.

This is a really special show, and I didn't mind paying for it at all since it goes to the arts.
