It seems like a lot of things will be available the day of (on Ebay and on Broadway Cares) so I would hold off for now.

I don't think anyone here would be able to tell you what's worth what to you. None of us have necessarily done this kind of thing before.

I wonder if the prices of unsold items will decrease throughout the day.

If you really loved that production of The King and I, that bundle seems great. It'll be interesting to see what they can package together like that. I've done too much decluttering during lockdown to want a random bundle of posters or Playbills.

I just checked the new items in the live auction and it looks like reopening night tickets are being auctioned off for Phantom, Lion King, Hadestown, Wicked, Come From Away, Aladdin, Dear Evan Hansen, and Hamilton. I understand there's no guarantee of anything but if the producers of these shows are donating 2 tickets for their respective show's reopening night that's a good sign that these shows will be coming back on Broadway when it reopens!

Of the long-running shows, we'll probably see CHICAGO and Book of Mormon added to that list too.

https://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/item/browse.action?auctionId=341696602&categoryId=341884198

List includes bidding for new shows that are expected to open.

The Music Man leads all other bids ( new/reopening) with a date which generically says "2021" (not the announced revised opening date in May). Its latest bid probably reflects the interest in the show despite the pandemic setback.

Yup those opening night tickets normally sell in the 4 digits since they include opening night party tix.

Have any of you ever done the flea market photo booth? This year they're having 60 second online chats instead which I thought was pretty cool since now it's open to everyone in the world! The link to see which actors are doing it are below. Fees range from $25-$100 but remember all of this goes as a donation to BCEFA!

What have people gotten in the bundles that were delivered this week?
I can tell you that my poster bundle was underwhelming. Out of the ten, five were not from Broadway shows (Bat Out of Hell, Flea Market, Easter Bonnet, Broadway Bares and a Lillias White concert).

I will say that they were packaged beautifully

Anyone attending the Zoom grand auction later today? I tried to get a spot but it’s full now.

I’m curious how much the items auctioned for!

The merchandise being sold on eBay is pretty underwhelming. I thought I was going to miss out by being at work. Doesn't seem to be the case. I bought a King & I hoodie pack. Nothing else seems worth it to me. I'd be afraid of what I would get in the random playbills & poster packs.

They showed some real gems in the photos on eBay––I spotted a signed Angels in America Playbill that's currently at $750 at the silent auction, a signed Shuffle Along poster, and a signed Band's Visit Playbill––but I really didn't want to chance it. Plus, what to do with 9 more windowcards or 19 more Playbills that I probably wouldn't want!

https://broadwaycares.org/online-broadway-flea-market-grand-auction-virtually-brings-community-together/

just FYI in case anyone wanted to know how the virtual flea market went last Sunday. I'm very happy for BCEFA being able to fundraise over $300k through this virtual event!  The Music Man opening night tix went for $19k! WOW! I think that was higher than the Bruce Springsteen opening night tix a few years ago.

As for the ebay stuff, the only flea item I bought was a Gary Titus Andronicus tumbler cup. Very happy with my find!

Below is an image from the link above. So cool and both fans/actors look so happy!

Where'd you come across that? I saw very few items on their eBay page and they only had those eight raffle baskets for the "Flea Market Finds."

Got it from eBay. On eBay I just did a search for BCEFA and it showed up amongst a lot of other theatre memorabilia. It stated it benefits BCEFA.

I just looked up my order and the seller is applauseshop so I guess I didn't directly buy it from bcefa (whoops!) but seller did state on ebay title that the purchase benefits BCEFA. From looking into it further applauseshop is owned by Laura Heywood (@BroadwayGirlNYC) and she posted several items last Saturday Sept 19th specifically for bway flea market.

Thanks, Wick3! I was pretty sure that wasn't directly from BCEFA, but nice that all of her items are benefitting them. I've browsed through her shop before and I'll have to remember to keep any eye out.

"The live auction culminated in a friendly Zoom room bidding battle, hosted by Broadway and television favorite Bryan Batt and led by esteemed auctioneer Nick Nicholson. More than 100 excited bidders raised $160,000 for Broadway Cares. The most popular lots of the day were opening night tickets and party passes to see The Music Man starring Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman for $19,000; an exclusive virtual meeting with Thomas Schumacher, president of Disney Theatrical Group and Broadway Cares Board of Trustees executive vice president, which went  for $9,500; acclaimed lighting designer Jules Fisher’s 1990 Tony Award for Grand Hotel for $8,500; and, tied at $7,000, the framed cover page to the score of New York State of Mind signed by Billy Joel and Barbra Streisand and a “Let it Go” musical phrase from Frozen handwritten and signed by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and also signed by Tony Award winner Idina Menzel."
