I just read that article and also found it really hard to get through, and just want to tell a story about when I was a waiter at a restaurant on the UWS near where Rebecca and Danny live. Rebecca came in by herself for lunch and sat in my section, and I recognized her as soon as I walked over but I didn't acknowledge that to her. She was so strikingly kind and authentic, she asked my name and called me by it, she was so gracious, and she made the kind of eye-contact where you know someone is truly present with you. And she tipped me 30% on the meal. Another time she came in for dinner with Marin Mazzie, who also stunned me with her authenticity and presence, even in passing. I know that the Rebecca and Danny's loved ones must really be hurting, but I just wanted to mention this to say that even in her most casual and transactional interactions, Rebecca Luker makes people feel seen and cared about. She is obviously such a kind and loving woman. Sending them so much love xoxo

I feel so bad for Danny and Rebecca. I cried when I read the article. Makes my own issues seem tiny and puts everything in perspective. I have the utmost respect for them.
