Due to the popularity of it, this will extend, at least for a few weeks.

How many performances did they miss? Are they back to doing the show now? We have tickets on Saturday night, and hoping to see the full cast.

They missed at least 3 performances, but the show is back up and running again. Enjoy. It's a sweet little show. Please let us know what you think.

I thought this was just okay. Some of the music is pretty, and the cast is excellent but I agree with MemorableUsername, it does take a really sharp turn into seriousness in a way that's unearned. We get an hour of romantic comedy cliches and then all of a sudden the show gets dark, and stays that way. It felt false to me.

It seems crazy that this hasn't extended yet.

This show is completely fresh- not from a book or movie or biographical. I will be going back fingers crossed more tickets become available! perfect show for New Yorkers and musical theater lovers

can’t wait to see where this goes and hope it does extend!

I saw the Goodspeed production too, and while there was a puppet dog - wasn't there a real dog that appeared in the final scene? I'm almost positive I remember a golden lab-type dog at the end.

I edited my earlier comment about there being no real dog, because I'm starting to suspect there might have been after all in the end (but like I said, I left at intermission).

Not a lot of reviews for this.

NY Times is negative

Hollywood Reporter is positive

Theatermania is negative, and amusing ("the cutest little musical about alcoholism you ever will see" )

The Wrap is positive

A very real dog makes a charming surprise entrance at the very end.

Earlier productions had a gorgeous puppet dog.

Thanks for the reviews, MUN.

I assumed they would extend, but hearing nothing about it I guess it's not happening.

This musical intrigues me because it seems to be very much in the style of "old-school musicals with a modern twist" that I like to write best. However, it certainly seems to be polarizing viewers...I wonder how its life will be after this Roundabout run.

I happened to notice that there are a few tickets available for a few performances this week.

Happy to have snagged a pair!

Thanks! I was about to try the standby line tomorrow but this saves me the effort.

Just got a ticket for Friday night,a few dates opened up. Like the $30.and no extra charges from Roundabout. The Underground black box is a perfect venue.

But I have to ask...

Fully understanding that it would be a spoiler...

Does the dog die?

Yes, the dog suddenly gets sick in the second act and has to be put down. The dog is just a series of trumpet sounds, though, if that makes it easier to watch.

Just out of curiosity, what does the Playbill for this show look like? Or is it just a printed program?

It's just a printed program. You can see some pictures of it on Instagram here:

This is not okay. Roundabout cancelled tonight’s show as well. I’ve gotten tickets to see it TWICE, literally a month apart. And both times, they cancelled it. Whether they’re in a 68 seat theater or a 800 seat broadway theater, Roundabout should have understudies.
Salty as well because I won the Minutes lotto and declined for this.

This was one of the top things i wanted to see on this trip, having seen songs from it presented in LA around 4 years ago, and then at NAMT a couple of years ago. i bought tickets even before i booked my flight, and now (argh) i have a conflict on Sunday evening... i'd been hoping to trade them for another performance but don't seem to be having any luck. And someone told me they cancelled last night and tonight? (also this seems worrisome and i hope nothing is too wrong)

They’ve added a matinee tomorrow in case anyone is looking for tickets.
