There are a handful of front row ($30), and regular/premium ($85-$135) tickets up for a few of the shows this weekend.

I was thinking about getting tickets with a friend but she doesn’t like seeing sexually explicit material. Nudity doesn’t bother her. Just curious of the actual content in this so I know whether we should see it or not.

When I was looking at ticket options this morning, only partial-view seats had opened (for the show's run). It was sometime between 12-1pm that they put up the $30 front row seats (and also some regular/premium seats) for select shows this weekend. I imagine they'll do this again, throughout the show's run.

Has anyone sat in the $40 partial view seats?

Just a warning about front row, it is within a foot of the pool and there is a part where there is s splash fight. People were getting wet at certain points, not just sprinkled. At the intermission between Act 1 and 2, ushers brought out towels for some audience members. Just an FYI!

Also, in regards to the nudity, there is a lot of male full frontal. AT least 5 -7 times and not just for a second or two. Plus a lot of rear nudity throughout. It truly never bothered me and never heard any gasps or anything form the audience when I was there. But just wanted to hep with that question.

Curious about this too. The stage looks very deep from social media photos, so I'm wondering just how much of the staging is missed. There's only one date I can go, and I really want to, but I'd rather have tickets beforehand than risk not getting one for rush.

Tonight’s performance was abruptly cancelled at 6:30 via email due to ‘actor illness.’ Had friend who was meant to go - just texted me. Must be that they hadn’t rehearsed the understudy. Still, really sucks to cancel that late - and it sucks the official twitter and Jeremy O Harris didn’t tweet about it.

Alan posted on instagram that hes had to cancel due to illness. I saw the show last night and there are no understudies listed or extra bios in the cast. I was wondering is it possible they arent having understudies.

I saw the show this afternoon. Throughout the entire play you could hear someone coughing backstage in the wings. It was quite distracting, although I still loved the show.

Here’s hoping he feels better soon.

Saw this today as well. While the set was gorgeous and the performances were first rate, this was bad. I found the writing poor—heavy handed at best, lazy and long winded at worst. The ending is a waste of everyone’s time.

Can you please speak more about the ending (maybe behind a spoiler cut)? I saw the second preview and saw an Instagram story from Alan a few days ago where he mentioned learning a new ending to the play. I’m curious how it is changed.

I know it's been asked before but wanted to check again - - - has anyone sat in the $40 partial view seats? Or, if not, can someone who sat in a regular seat take a guess at what one might miss sitting on the side mezzanine? Thanks!

Your view is going to be pretty partial, as you’re going to miss whatever is happening upstage on your side of the stage. I’d say it’s a lose/lose scenario, but I’d pick to sit on house left. They even chose to have the sound board be on house right, so they wouldn’t have to sell more partial seats on that side.

Although the theater was really warm when i saw the show on the 14th...i can only imagine the combination of pool and naked doesnt help the actors

Unfortunately missed this the other night due to a last minute family emergency (all’s well now) but with all this weekends cancellations it doesn’t seem like it would have been a great time to see Alan anyway. Gonna try and grab a rush ticket in the next couple weeks as I can’t help but think those partial view seats would have not been a pleasurable experience. Hope to report back soon!

Can someone explain the logistics of a co pro like this—between two NYC theaters but performed at a third rented house? I’m only familiar with co pros between regional theaters in different cities. How does it work in terms of splitting resources? Or is it purely financial? Any insight would be appreciated!

The New Group does not have a home, so they often perform at the Pershing Square center. Plus, the Vineyard Theatre could never fit Daddy into their relatively small theatre space (plus Do You Feel Anger? is going there later in the spring).

It seems the purchase a single ticket option has disappeared from their website.
