RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 4 |
Finally got around to watch the episode and boy was that TENSE! Glad to see that Manila is finally starting to become a legitimate threat to her competitors.
Manila's little reply to Gia "You didn't bring a back up?" was glorious -- one of the few times Gia's been caught completely off.

In next week's preview episode. Manilla's expressions are absolutely killing me. For once, I am loving the sound effects they have haha. This is campy af, and I'm living for it.
Hey everybody! Shameless plug ahead.
I help host a live Youtube "Ruview" series in drag for my friend's YouTube show. Feel free to watch it. I already know some of you would strongly disagree with some of my opinions. (I recommend you watch it at 1.5x speed)
I'm the one dressed as Marge Simpson questioning other queens' fashion choices. (Isn't it Ironic?)

Putting aside one's loyalty to Royalty, I thought last night's episode was the very best of All Stars so far! When 5 of the 8 queens actually nail the Jersey challenge with hysterical looks and equally hysterical lines, I think that's a high-water mark for the season. I'm especially dazzled by what Naomi and Valentina pulled off in Jersey Justice, and they both move in to my absolute must-have top 3. I'm thrilled Monique nailed the win (which was pretty much handed to her on a platter when the lip-sync was a Tina Turner track), but I'm not convinced she can go the distance. My money's on Manila or Trinity for the 3rd spot.
Is it possible that with 10 queens starting out, of which 8 were people of color, that Trinity could still take the crown and put another white queen on the All Stars portrait wall? Oy vey...
As sad as it was, it was time for Latrice to go due to how flat she was during the previous two challenges. I'm starting to wonder if Trinity is one of the queens who start out strong, but fizzles as the competition goes on.
I guess it's Manila, Naomi, Monet, and Valentina in the top 4 at this point if Trinity doesn't rise again (judging by the preview for next week, Trinity might be in trouble).
My money is on Trinity, Valentina, and now Manila.
I have LOVED Latrice ever since the first season that I saw her. I was beyond unconslable after last night's episode. Last week's episode made me think that maybe Gia should have focused more on her upcoming transition that be on TV again. The top four should be Valentina, Manilla, Monet and Trinity. I do not see Trinity winning this year...

I concur but they wouldn't be my favourites.
I like most loved Lattrice she has the warmth and personality of the mother of the group but she just isn't a good competitor not doesn't detract from her as a performer. People handle different forms of pressure in different ways.
I think top 4 will be Trinity, Naomi, Valentina, and Monique. And I have a suspicion the editors are setting us up for either a Valentina win (ugh) or an epic Valentina elimination (also ugh but at least she wont win).
Jersey Justice was probably the best an acting challenge has been in years. Even the weak links- Monet and Latrice- weren't bad, just a little dull. No one came out having truly ****ed it up.
I think Naomi is a stealth competitor. She always turns it out, but stays out of the way when drama is going down, so she doesn't have a lot of talking head time.
I'm ready to watch the world burn when

Naomi eliminates Manila in a few eps. Since Naomi is so loved by the fans, I wonder how they are going to react to her?
Monet & Manilla : "I choose Val..."
Ru: "Like f*ck you are. NO ONE goes home tonight." *self hi-fives*
Who else out there is a Tom and Lorenzo fan? Their summary of this week's episode infers that producer manipulation had a huge hand in the outcome not to have anyone sashay away. Frankly I was fine with both Monet and Manila winning, and it would have been a kick to have 2 girls chopped at once.
I'm so over the stunt of bringing back old contestants. What right do any of the axed girls have to continue competing when we never saw them go head to head on Snatch Game, Jersey Justice, or the Bunny Roast? The sooner they disband with this sorry stunt, the better. I would be horrified if Jasmine, Gia, Latrice or God-help-us Farrah Moan ever come anywhere near snatching the crown.
